Not a bad price
Only picked this up a couple of weeks back from Zavvi for quite a bit more :wow:

happy days :). finally found a few minutes to post about this great edition. if you're only into the photos :Snap:, the album is here.

first off, want to say i like the combo of Eureka! and 88 Films bringing us remastered, cleaned up versions of Jackie's best and/or most formative films. after buying this edition, i grabbed a whole bunch of other Jackie Chan remasters from 88, currently working my way through them. some of the new artworks are not quite my thing, but i like it on this edition. anyway, they are all reversible for the original release art.

the new artwork is bright and impactful, the slipcase is rigid and strong, and it's about an SCF4 size. nice bit of spot gloss on the title, nowhere else. the j-card is actually card and reveals more nice artwork on the back. all of that under the spoiler:

the poster that comes with the edition is reversible, just like the amary artwork, for the original art. nice to be able to say i'm not sure which i prefer. anyway, this is the new artwork, and the original is under the spoiler:

the amarary is reversible again, like all (?) the 88 releases. the artcards are quite good, plus they have a bonus of having some alternate line drawn art on the back, instead of a load of identical logo images:

finally, the 80 page perfect bound booklet is super detailed, with lots of genuinely interesting stuff, from biography to Asian cinema politics in the '70s, and a fun feature on kung-fu VHS in the 80s. i read all this sort of stuff in limited editions, so it's good for me! too many pics of that under the spoiler:

the picture quality is excellent, the dialogue tracks great, the alternate versions comprehensive. in short, super edition of a great film.
