Ten pounds cheaper at HMV
Amazon majority of the time list RRP price with pre order listings this is not the actual price it will be by release date.

Amazon then before release date list actual selling price which is not RRP as long as other retailers also have listed for pre order

Amazon wait to see price with other retailers mainly HMV who they then price match with or sell cheaper

Pre order price promise covers you with amazon the price will drop automatically in your order when they reduce the price

You can expect price to be £27.99 or £29.99 by release date with amazon

This 4 disc limited Collector’s Edition of John Carpenter’s 1988 cult classic THEY LIVE has been stunningly restored in 4K. This release is beautifully packaged with a stylish, newly commissioned illustration on the cover. It contains a UHD of the feature as well as a Blu-ray feature disc, extra features disc and the original soundtrack on CD. It also contains 5 artcards, a newly illustrated theatrical poster and booklet containing behind the scenes stills, articles and an essay from celebrated film journalist Kim Newman.

WWF wrestler “Rowdy” Roddy Piper plays John Nada, a homeless, unemployed construction worker who discovers a pair of sunglasses that when worn, suddenly reveal a world run by capitalist, yuppie aliens intent on keeping the human race sedate and brainwashed with subliminal messages fed through advertising and the media. Luckily for us all Nada is a man of action and so begins the fight-back (including perhaps the longest fistfight in cinema’s history) to save humankind.

The disc contents are great. No argument.
But let's not kid ourselves about the "artwork".

Mate you have a problem. Don't buy it if you feel that strongly. Certainly haven't made me feel very welcome on here... every thread I go to look at up you pop being insanely negative. As a fan of these movies myself I am just amazed that they are getting this kind of treatment at all.

@MattFerguson don't let one negative numpty put you off the site. Like I said in The Fog thread, it's the artwork that drew me to order these for my collection, despite having each movie multiple times already. I know I won't be the only one either. There'll be a huge amount of support from collectors double, triple or quadruple dipping on these titles because of the artwork.

You are indeed welcome to the forums.
But this is not the Matt Ferguson fanclub forum.
These forums are for exchange of both positive and negative views on the product.
If this release is the only way to get all the disc contents for this movie then I will be forced to buy it even though it short-changes us on the artwork front by repeating the same art on everything. It's not "coherent". It's lazy and penny pinching. So I will keep complaining about the "packaging" even though the contents are good.
And because this is the same on all the Carpenter releases my complaints will show up in all those threads. We shouldn't be grateful just for any old release. We should be expecting the best possible release which sadly this isn't.
None of this is your fault but don't expect us to blindly praise this whole release just because you did one piece of artwork.

I like the art on these. Personally, I would rather see the studios continue to commission art even if they use it throughout the package. Variety is great, no doubt about that, but a uniform release is no slouch either (so long as I like the art, LOL). There is a lot of passionate debate here about the movies and the packaging, that's for sure. :D
