maybe the reason the 1/4 slip has grown in size over time is for the Chinese market, so that they have a decent looking Chinese title?

You need to have variety here. The artwork on the steelbook is just perfect. The slips always feel 'secondary' to me as the main reason for buying is for the steelbook itself. That's the big deal for me being metal, the item that actually holds the film, along with the right finish! Don't get me wrong, slip art is also important and needs to look right but I am concerned less for those.

As far as this set goes, another winner for Blufans imo.
I agree with what you're saying, but correct me if I'm wrong, aren't you a strict sealed only collector? In which case you don't actually get to see the wonderful Steelbook itself inside those "secondary slips" as you say, unless perhaps you mean you just look at the front of the sealed 1/4 slip? :p

(which as you must know isn't the same as holding that bare steel in your own hands :naughty::drool:).

Hahaha. Yes you're correct, but like it's been pointed out on here many many times before, my satisfaction (and others who keep theirs sealed) is fullfilled by still having the steelbook in hand yet still sealed. I can look at numerous photos, videos etc to see what it actually looks like and then having it in hand with a seal over it isn't all that different to not having it sealed imo. Once it's unsealed and you've properly looked at it once I personally don't see the difference in sealing or unsealing, but that's just me. The mere fact that I don't 'unseal' it from a bit of cellophane and cardboard doesn't mean I'm not getting the enjoyment out of it I want. Everybody is different and as collectors for various reasons no one person can comment on another persons experience. My point about the slips feeling secondary to the steelbook is based on my core reasoning for buying the product in the first place - the steelbook itself. I would never buy a bunch of slips with extras without there being a film inside a steelbook inside a set. Just that pleasure of knowing you have a solid steelbook with an amazing look to it where time, care and great design has been put into it it is certainly satisfactory. I will have the 1/4 slip in the set and look at that through the cellophane lol.

I will unseal the box set but keep the slips within sealed. I never sell any of my collection but I do like that feeling of keeping it new looking. Obviously I'm aware that others have their own preference too.

Quick question. Anyone elses SL back slightly bowed in?

Can see it clearly on the ebay dudes pictures on page 84. Is yours like that @Modulus ?

Assume it would straighten up easy enough if opened but plenty won't be opening them.

I guess you are talking about this part? Yeah, i think it would straighten up, when you open it

Without going into too much detail and possibly derailing the thread with OT sealed vs open talk, I understand mate, whatever floats your boat ;)

Blufans still need to improve on their slips. That is still their biggest downfall. Although they are improving, I still don’t get the buzz such as when I open a Zeta or FAC.

I’m glad to see Blufans have improved on their boxsets and being consistent in their one click line.

Yeah thought as much. Thanks for the replies @Modulus @Mickle_89 @Dazzler_31117

Was a similar thing on my Art of Marvel set from Zavvi but I haven't actually got around to opening that yet either.

It seems it's when the slip isn't a tight fit for what's in them. They should just add something as a spacer in the slip to stop it happening.
