I don't think anyone has a problem with a post just because it is negative, but more because it is repetitive, stale or boring. There are people who have posted in this thread from the very start putting collectors of Asian steels down, feigning ignorance as to why they collect them when they know full well that it will wind people up. These same people have also stated right from the off that they weren't interested in this steel or Asian steels but yet they are still here causing issues.

And so you don't think I'm doing the same, I also find it a bit repetitive when the posts are the same positive comments over and over. But this place is (and always has been) better when everyone is much more positive. Seems that of late a few people are really trying to push the wrong buttons on a regular basis and that is where I feel the comment 'move on' is aimed at in general.

Seriously mate, did you miss the sign on the door? This is a kimchi exclusive release thread so expect to read about how much people like them. I'd rather those people were in this thread being positive instead of being in threads for releases they have no interest in taking the piss out of their fellow collectors and causing problems.

I dont have any problem at all with positive posts about this steel and i even admit this might be the best release of thor 2 yet, i just replied to a post trashing zavvis release yet again for no reason and stated that this isnt that much better

the problem arent the negative posts about asian steels, but the snobbery of certain collectors, who sound like all other releases are automatically garbage..

Listen, I'm not going to disagree with you about snobbery. But it's not always outright snobbery and certain retailer specific threads will serve to encourage favouritism to certain releases and you shouldn't let that bother you. If it does, then don't visit the thread.

I choose not to visit Zavvi threads very often because I'm not a huge collector of those steels or much of a fan, so you won't find me crapping on them each time one is announced. After seeing the title I'll make a call whether to even bother revisiting that thread and again once art has been revealed. I therefore tend to drift to these threads which I enjoy because of my collecting habits.

It's a shame that one of the biggest divides in this community is between collectors of Zavvi or Asian steels. I don't get why that divide has to be such a big deal and cause friction, as we're pretty much all into the same thing, but it does in many instances.

So if I can help by not visiting those threads and posting something which might be taken more personally than intended then I won't. It would be cool if more respect could be shown regardless of tastes but sometimes freedom of speech seems more important to people than the impact on other people of what they are saying (a general comment not solely aimed at yourself btw)

There are some releases that never come down in price once they are gone.

If you think those went up in price quickly, wait til you see what this Kimchi Thor 2 fetches.

I think you're 50% right, most of the times when you see high prices for certain SB releases that gone up like you mentioned.. Not all of them really sells for their stated prices, some of them sells for much less than you think.

Not once, not twice I've seen prestiges SBs that sold for much less than the market prices collectors usually see on forums/ebay/FB groups. I'm not that impressed, I can tell you that the only SB I got for highest price was 180$ for a sealed copy of Let the Bullets Fly (sealed) and I even tend to think it was justified 2 years ago.

The US and Canadian versions are superior! A slip and cards can't hide that it's the same steelbook many people cancelled. Until Blufans show us what they are going to release the FS and BB versions are the winners! "and I ordered the Lenti slip cover" lol

I quite like the numbers...Personally I would have been in favour of restrictions 1x Slip and 2x Lenti to max the number of potential customers and have a GB for 100 who couldn't order

Totally agree. I accept Kimchi did an excellent job with extras to overcome the shortcomings of steelbook itself but that doesn't make it the best version to get.

Good for people who value extras as much as steelbook .

For me BB/FS all the way until BF reveal what they got.

Wether something is cheap or not to produce doesn't really reflect what value this item has in the collector's community.
Paper's not that expensive but there are plenty of comics that go for high prices.

When it comes to Marvel steelbooks there's alot of people wanting to keep adding to it and have decided to get a copy of this movie in steelbook form and are now deciding which release to get. For some the fact that it has a slipcover or an asian 1/4 slip makes them get this release. For other's it makes no sense and never will.
We collect different things and for different reasons but we all collect and should celebrate each other instead of putting each other collecting habits down.
Personally I don't own a single zavvi steelbook but I don't go around putting them or their fans down.
Nor do I own alot of asian steels.

If you don't like something say so andd move on and the same goes if you like something. No reason to repeat yourself or put people down.

This post ins't directed entirely at you so if you haven't done any of the things I desbribe you don't have to defend yourself.
