What we don't want is this thread turning into a ebay and valuation thread. We have a thread already if you want to discuss sales and prices. If members keep posting about ebay and prices then these posts will be moved. We need to try and keep this on the topic of the steelbook. Thanks folks.

Let's keep Sig's post in mind fellas. I think at this point it's better to just agree to disagree, move on and stop beating a dead horse.

i have no idea why any of that makes any difference.

i think most of us want this release cause the care kimchi put in to take a sub-par art design and turn it into something beautiful and worth owning.

half the people that pre-ordered this doesn't give a rats a** whats it can or cant potentially be worth. This thread should be about how excited we all are to own this and not about its monetary value

What's this got to do with the Thor release?

I am not sure much of what's been said on the last few pages has anything to do with the Thor release!
From a personal point of view I am very glad to have got a copy (thanks to the help of a fellow ninja) got the lenticular as I really like lenticular slips on my steels.
I also have the best buy version on order from group buy as I think that will be a better steelbook. May keep both, might put the slip over the best buy one I don't know.
I think that it's good there is variety and options out there and think that should be celebrated not criticised, I also have the zavvi version on order which I will now give to a friend as it's gonna cost me £ 17 due to a promo.

I think the point he is trying to make is that the Zavvi release was widely criticised for having poor artwork, lacking a title and being overpriced. This is exactly the same but includes a few cheap extras and is even more expensive, yet it is being widely praised. That doesn't make much sense to me for reasons I have outlined previously.

For people who keep them sealed this is by far the best release. Just like with Ted. The Korea one is by far the best one. It is worth around 10 times the value of the UK version yet it is the same EXACT steel.

If we didn't have limited print runs the retailer would risk holding stock to only sell at a loss later. Limited print runs are healthy and will never go away. Its a simple supply vs demand. Look at all the left over supply at zavvi. They have to take the loss.

Moved a few posts to the ebay thread here. Come on guys, we need to try and keep this thread on topic. People are subscribed to this thread to hear updates and info on the Steelbook. They shouldn't have to keep getting notified of posts when it's page after page of ebay and valuation chat. The thread is getting too derailed with ebay talk and it just ends up going nowhere. If you want to chat prices can you do it in the price is high thread where it's supposed to be. Thanks for your understanding.

Although this is a nice set and for the people who collect multiples of films will make a nice edition but having said that the steelbook isn't any different without the slip as we all know, I will be sticking with the FS version with title on spine and front but keeping a close eye on the BF art.

The only reason people are buying this is because of the low print run, let's not kid ourselves here. They say you can't polish a turd, but Kimchi have done exactly that!

C'mon bud, you ask people why they want this release and when they open up and tell you all the reasons you choose to completely ignore their answers and make a sweeping generalisation in order to stir things up again.

I bought this release and the low print run is not the only reason (as I replied here and here) so please stop with posting these assumptions as the only person you are kidding is yourself.

Please try and see it from my (our) point of view. You don't have to accept it, but you should at least acknowledge it otherwise it'll be like Groundhog Day every time a low print run version of a global release is announced. Oh wait, it already is...:(

You said you're buying it because of the low print run and because you want a complete Kimchi collection. Fine.

Yes just realised this has been unlocked. If anyone else got an order in but was unable to pay and your order stuck on "reciept of payment" then I recommend emailing Tony your order number and PayPal address. I did and within a few days I got emailed an invoice so I could pay and managed to rescue my order :scat: I'm pleased and hopefully this can help at least 1 more member.
