A french member on a french forum told us he saw the ad for the Steelbook. This is an Auchan(Walmart like) exclusive.

One of my most colourful

I love this Steelie
Its one of my most colourful and "happy" looking
I dig how there is no names anywhere and that the spine was used to showcase the classic tin tin charcters in the movie.
Living in germany and having bought the amaray case originallyI would rather have the steelie with no name than the German one which says Tim und Struppi
on a side note i will not buy the Jaws steelie in Germany because they call it "der weisse Hai" which eventhough it is a great white shark.. not all great whites are Jaws and i would know coz i have been cage diving with great whites in south africa. my home land:oohyeah::oohyeah::oohyeah::scat:

It is a very good price so I just hope it what it is and not the NL release or something lol

you will be happy to know that i bought my tintin from this ebay seller and it is the french one. you can breathe a sigh of relief :hilarious:

one of the best looking steels and like the upcoming avengers release check out the spine with the characters...i think it looks awesome

hope this helps

the french one is the only one with dvd, there's 2 disc holder inside, that's the only difference, physically. so maybe any of you open the steels, you can throw away the dvd & put the 3D disc into it :D

Yes but in terms of sale value this will get more, even though its the same steel, because of the different data sheet and the 'rareness' :)

Nah not really this goes for no more from what I've seen than the nl and the same steel j card don't make a difference it amuses me also when people say the rarity lol this is the same steel as nl so would have had a large print run more than 4000 easy no rareness there I'm afraid. People kidding themselves.

I know exactly what you are saying, it is the same steel? But collectors want the hard to find ones released from that country and be a good trading chip for me. For example isn't titanic for uk and france exactly the same but everyone wants the uk one - the limited and harder to find one?
