I hadn't been in this thread for a while so didn't know there was such a furore going on about the separate releases!

I currently have the 3d and the 2d editions on pre-order. I don't own a 3d TV though, so it does seem a bit redundant I guess.

Slightly confused by previous comments about a 3d blu-ray playing in 2d. As I said above I don't own a 3d tv so even though my blu-ray player is 3d capable I assume I can't actually watch it?

You have to have a 3DTV in order to watch 3D films in 2D, makes not alot of sense i know but it does come in handy for 3D only steelbooks like this.

Despite all the negativity about this movie, I'm actually looking forward to watching this, especially the IMAX version.
Say what you will about Bay, he certainly knows how to throw together a killer action sequence.

I can predict what posts are coming.............. I for one am looking forward to this. Best art out of the lot me thinks and the other night i realised that my tv converts 3d to 2d. Yay.

Must be a constant stream of cancellations, as there are still 33 left in stock! I guess the word hasn't gotten out that this one is temporarily available again. I also expect a few dozen more to be cancelled prior to release

Apologies for doing the whole 2D/3D debacle again- Is this definitely confirmed as 2D only??
I know it states this on the Entertainment Exchange page via Play, but the only reason I've asked is that on the BluFans exclusive pack (which by the way, looks absolutely amazing...) all 3 of the steelbooks contain the 2D Blu-ray (in case you weren't aware, this set contains the 3 separate steelbook designs in one package with exclusive slips)

Confirmed as 3D only, no 2D in this one (unless you have a clever tv...)

I was just thinking that I must go in and cancel my pre order, decided on the german dinobot edition. It is now processing at warehouse from yesterday, should be despatched in 24 hours.

I ordered the Dinobot from Amazon.com which comes with the 2D version. I might do a disc swap (as I dont want the 3D Disc) with the version that comes with Dinobot and then eBay off the 3D disc. I don't mind not having the IMAX version either.

I am hoping the title is embossed and doesnt end up like the other versions where it's debossed

Very tempted to get this myself for £24 is a bargain, but will there be any hidden charges or custom charges on top. It's good way to get the 2D disc and a great looking model.

There may be custom charges, but even so it still works out the cheapest option if you want the model.

If you choose AmazonGlobal Expedited Shipping tyen you can pay pre paid custom charges. I had a look the other week as dinobot version works out approx. £31 to uk with customs pre paided

Im still undecided on this steel or dinobot version but got a copy of steel on order for my US buddy so can see whats its like in hand
