Tridon's “Raising Funds to Shoot an Independent Film” Sale!

NOTICE: On January 11th, I will be leaving for out-of-town work that'll last until the beginning of April. The final shipping date for any items purchased is January 9th. Any items purchased after that date will be shipped ASAP upon my arrival back home in April.

I’ve put together a huge list of items for sale so I can raise funds to shoot my own independent short film next spring. My current income has been going towards paying off my wedding/honeymoon debt, so this sale was the only way I could get some money rolling towards my project. All funds raised will go towards the equipment rentals needed as well as paying/feeding my cast and crew. If all goes well, I’ll shoot two short films by the end of next summer.

HI-DEF NINJA EXCLUSIVE OFFER: While I will be trying to sell my items at other places at the same time, I’ve decided to do something special for the HDN members who support me. For those who spend $15+, their names will appear within the ‘thank you’ section of the end credits of my film. For those who spend $150+ (if anyone does), they’ll receive an Associate Producer credit on the film. For more on my short film, scroll to the bottom of this post.

Now on to the nitty-gritty...

For the items below, all prices are in Canadian funds. Shipping is extra and depends on your location and whether you want tracking or not. If you decide to not purchase tracking and the item becomes lost in the mail, I will do my best to look into it at the post office, but I am not responsible (a photo will be taken of your package with its mailing labels on it before I leave the post office to prove that it’s been shipped). I highly recommend paying the extra for tracking, but that'll be left up to you.

All items will be shipped through Canada Post, a company who’re notoriously known for slow international shipping. I’ve shipped items to the U.K. from Canada before and it's taken up to 8 weeks for them to arrive. They're also expensive, so while I will try to ship for the lowest price possible (I have a Venture One card to save on shipping costs), please keep in mind that I'm not shipping from the U.S., so shipping costs won't be nice and low like the USPS.

SHIPPING METHODS: SteelBooks, Digibooks, Digipacks and trade paperbacks (hard and softcover) will be shipped bubble-wrapped within boxes. Amarays and CDs will be shipped within bubble mailers (unless another method is requested ahead of time). Slipcovers will be shipped flat and wrapped to a thicker piece of cardboard. This'll then be inserted into a regular brown mailing envelope and labeled with "Photos - Do Not Bend". Posters and prints will be shipped rolled in a poster tube unless flat shipping is required.

ITEM DETAILS: All my items come from my personal collection within a smoke-free home. All items are near mint unless otherwise noted. I’m a collector, so I take item condition very seriously. If a photo is not provided below but you'd require one, please PM me a request.

PAYMENT DETAILS: As stated above, all prices are in Canadian funds. I will only accept funds through PayPal. You can send the funds as a Gift, but then you're not protected. If you prefer to send the funds as a Goods payment, you must also pay the PayPal fees on top of the item cost and final shipping tally. ABOUT MY SHORT FILM…

A couple of years ago, I was the writer/producer on a full-length independent horror film called QUIVER (still in post-production; teaser trailer can be seen HERE). Since then, I’ve been working on numerous projects, but one thing that I’ve been dying to do since QUIVER is direct my own motion picture. Next year, I will do just that with a short film titled HIDE. I already have a cast and crew onboard and they’ve all praised the screenplay (currently on its fourth and possibly final draft).

In the few short minutes that HIDE will last, you’ll experience the anxiety and fear of a young woman while she hides in a dark closet from an intruder who searches the house for her… all while her daughter hides in another unknown location.

The projected shoot-date is late April 2014 and all proceeds raised will go towards the needed equipment rentals and food/payments for my cast and crew.

Thanks for taking a peak, anyway. I know there's unfortunately only amarays in there at the moment, so I'm not expecting huge sales.

I have thought of crowd-funding and I've discussed it with Wreck. I'm hoping to put something together in the future.

And since you brought up Quiver, that is STILL in post-production. It hasn't been shelved, in case any one was wondering. Visual effects are taking a very long time since they're so damn expensive. Hopefully it'll be released sometime this decade.

At least with my new film, Hide, it's only a short and there's zero visual effects. Should be a walk in the park compared to Quiver.
