Undercover cop "Laughing Gor" returns to the silver screen for one final assignment! Since his emergence in the 2009 TVB drama E.U., the wildly popular character has headlined his own movie (Turning Point) and television (Lives of Omission) spin-offs. Now Michael Tse is back once again to reprise his star-making role in the second cinematic outing, which pits Laughing against his toughest nemesis yet. Picking up where Lives of Omission left off, the crime thriller sequel directed by Herman Yau brings back returning stars Bosco Wong, Kate Tsui, and MC Jin besides introducing a host of new characters played by Francis Ng, Chapman To, Kara Hui, Liu Kai Chi, and Janice Man.
Laughing (Michael Tse) is judged guilty of murdering gang lord Michael So (Bosco Wong) and is sentenced to life imprisonment. Locked up behind bars, he meets the seemingly benign inmate Fok Tin Yam (Francis Ng), a university professor in criminal psychology who is jailed for drug possession. Highly intelligent and manipulative, Fok reveals the power of his mind games by effortlessly subduing the violent prison bully (Lam Suet). He also deduces that Laughing is sent to the prison on an undercover mission to find out the rogue cops within the police force. The clues lead him to inmate Chit (Chapman To), a former sergeant from the Narcotics Bureau who has been suffering from a mental disorder. To unlock the critical information from the deranged man, Laughing must get the help of Fok, but this enigmatic figure has an agenda of his own...
