Hey Snow-yeah I am not sure how they would make these transfers look nice. They were not shot on HD DVD cameras (at least I don't think-at least not the 1st few seasons). The DVD transfers on some seasons were also very poor. But here's to hopin'

i have the first four season's on dvd,and there not the best transfers.you notice more now if you watch them because you have been treated to watching stuff in hd.

Snow-agreed-I have the whole set, and it's definitely distracting to watch that kind of quality now that my eyes have been fine tuned

I am looking forward to the continuation of the Star Trek franchise on BD

If they can "fix" the original series to BD standards, anything is possible.
