Buddy, IM2 sealed is upwards of $400. Opened should be $150, or thereabouts. There is one on ebay for $199, no takers for months.
LGB is about $750.
it does seem a tad steep for a 2D version ??
I mean the Japan 3D version is still only about $120.oo ?? , and 2D Thail;and went for $68.oo the other day, so prob worth a tad more now

This is a weird discussion. I remember seeing a CA TW going for nearly US$500 after active bidding on eBay. Grab it at 50 euros if you can. But I seriously doubt that there is a CA TW in the shops. It has been OOP for some time.
Since your friend is in Taiwan and may go steel hunting, he may want to take note of the Taiwan top 10 steels compiled painstakingly by sunnyx......
