My Best Buy is the king of ineptitude the supreme chancellor of we do not know what the frak we are doing. I hate them so bad after this can someone like Target or Wal-mart get the next line.

Yep that is the display everyone took pics of but at my wonderful/dreadful Best Buy they just took blurays off the shelves and filled it with the regular amray versions RATHER THAT FRAKING STOCKING IT WITH WHAT THE DISPLAY SAYS ALA STEELBOOKS

I hate best buy so bad.

Mine no longer gives the option for instore pickup. Best Buy sucks. As much as I hate Taget and Walmart, I would much rather go to those 2 stores.

now that is unbelievable. I would email Best Buy customer service with that pic. Whoever they have stocking the shelves obviously shouldn't be.

Had that happened at my BB,I would have definitely flagged someone down and asked "WTF" !!
I had a pretty decent experience picking my SB's from Best Buy yesterday.
When I went to the store yesterday morning,the stock guy was loading up the rack's with BD's. When I asked him about the WB Blu-ray Steelie's, he directed me to the display which had a few of them,but not all them were out yet. I grabbed "V for Vendetta" and "Book of Eli". I asked about the missing title's and he went into the back and brought out 2 boxes,cut them open,handed me 2 more that I wanted "Batman Begins" and "The Dark Knight".
Then we began chatting about the release's etc. I would say there were about 20 copies of each title.
The Guy actually worked for the Distributor and not Best Buy. Very cool,very informative and very helpful.Generally not what I get from Best Buy.
In fact as he and I were chatting,while setting up the rest of the display,other shopper's started grabbing title's off the display,next thing there's about 4 of us chatting away.This attracted the attention of a 2 Best Buy employee's who came over to see what the fuss was about.
I"d like to mention,that I was curious enough to check out the shape of the steelie's,other than the one's I grabbed. They were all in immaculate condition!

EPIC FAIL!!! To be fair, the stocking of shelves at Best Buy is done by an outsourced company selected by the distributor(s). But again, this goes to show there is much to "fix" to educate US retailers about steelbooks. Remember, the more we do to help the stores around us, the better they will become in getting these steelbooks on the shelves in the best shape for us to buy. Growing pains for now, but steelbook treasures in the days to come

I just came back from Best Buy, got a price adjustment and exchanged LOTR Fellowship because it had a loose disc. The copy I returned had that paint chip about 1/4 of the way down but the replacement is in perfect shape.

Where's the gloss finish?

I may be the only one but I decided not to get anything I already had or not interested in which left me with one. I picked up Sucker Punch. Did anyone else notice that it seems that they left the gloss that is usually on these steelbooks. I was checking up on them because they just didn't impress me in person and noticed on all the pics I found of the Canadian releases they had more gloss and more depth to the the images because of it. That really turned me off in BB.
