My problem is I know I will end up buying some of them if the artworks good so I can only blame myself for helping the studios keep releasing the same titles

I wonder if HMV are going to get these, I assume they will but you never know. That's actually one thing I would like, HMV doing Steelbook waves. There's nothing cooler than seeing someone walk into a MM or FS store and walk out with an armful of Steelbooks. It's a shame Play.com don't have stores, although at this rate they would be able to open a Steelbook store by the end of the year :hilarious:

All these steelbooks are available for pre-order at sainsburys for £15.99

300
Heat
Seven
Matrix
Inception
Troy
Blade Runner
Clash of the Titans
Sherlock holmes 1
10,000 BC
Last Samurai
I am Legend

Considering Sainsbury's are usually the cheapest of retailers, that's a pretty expensive starting point for these.

its terrible isnt it - i mean ive spent a lot getting these imported from canada and the usa, and now i will have to sell them wether these are the same covers or not, as i wont have every one of these twice i dont have space, so imports will make way for the uk ones.

i actually have the matrix us digibook as well, so that will go too. i will just stick to UK purchases now, no matter how tempting the imports are, the uk will find a way to sell them.

i dont think i will even preorder these though - available everywhere, they will make a ton of each and i cant see many clambering to pay £15.99 for 10000 BC - there will be a movie that didnt need a uk steelbook release and now has two.

trying to keep a 100% uk bluray steelbook collection is hard to do.

Im thinking same now mate, unless its something I absolutely have to have and it wont cost a huge amount, im just going to stick to uk steels from now on. seems if we wait long enough we'll eventually get a uk copy of almost everything

Updated OP and individuals threads, but it's not clear if those release are Premium or Special edition since some are live at Amazon.co.uk/HMV/Play.

I assume they're all the same release since they're from Warner and we've seen those release elsewhere in the world.
Sorry if I made a mistake.

I was going for UK only but then I bought some of these from US/Canada a few weeks back before these were announced, plus I couldn't turn down The Wizard Of Oz and Gone With The Wind steelbooks

I will probably get these (at least the ones I haven't got already), but will be more tempted at £12.99 or less. If they are the white covers then that's a different matter

I am really considering selling my Japanese SteelBooks (white covers) following the announcement of these. They were that expensive I can't justify keeping them if these are to share the same artwork :(

Whatever happens the Japan ones will look better than the UK ones (if you keep your steels sealed) - you don't even have to unseal the Japanese ones to appreciate the beauty of the them. You can guarantee the UK releases will have daft blue J-cards covering the top of the steelbook.

I hope these have some new art. And it would be great to get the final cut of blade runner on Steelbook, although this will no doubt not be the ultimate version.

Pretty sure I'll pick up 300 and Legend too.
