Some great SteelBooks were released in 2015.

As it's customary, the nominations were tallied until January 15, 2016 from our nominations thread (which went live on December 23, 2015) and each of the 25 most member-nominated titles in the Best Finish (embossing, debossing etc...) category is now a contender in our poll.

Please remember you can only vote 1 time for your top choice and you cannot change your vote afterwards.

Voting closes January 31, 2016.

Have fun everyone & thanks for being part of the hidefninja.com community!

Again at too many great choices to choose just 1, this is going to be hard and I'll have to take my time on choosing.

Lol how did the game of thrones steels make the list? There nice steels but the finish is pretty crappy lol
I can think of hundreds better than that. Even true detective mondo or or the Star Wars steels smashes the thrones finish.
Just can't work out how this happened!

A lot of great options, but Jurassic Park 1-3 really good deboss/emboss, art & finish..

My vote goes to: Romeo & Juliet (Blufans)

... excellent, creative, yet still somehow classy embossing.

For me, none of the choices could muster my vote based on gloss quality alone.

The only 2 steelbooks that I think could win on gloss finish alone would be Tangled KimchiDVD and Oz Blufans. But those were from 2014. I don't know what they used for that finish, but the best way to describe it is like a gloss wrap of some kind. You have to hold it in hand to understand.

So imo, the only thing that could sepearate the "finish" of these steelbooks of 2015 is the embossing and/or debossing detail work.

And though I am not particularly thrilled with the artwork of Pan's Labyrinth from Mondo, I do see how some could vote for that finish. The texture is quite unique.
