Hey All Hidefninja.com members,

It's time for our Ninja to get frisky! :naughty:

ninjavdayimage.jpg

I am contributing a give-away for a DVD or Blu-Ray (value up to $25 or $25 towards one), shipped to you from Amazon US or Amazon UK. Purchases from other Amazon sites in your own country are fine, too. It can be more than one, as long as the total value is $25 or less(I'll pay the shipping to you).

All you have to do is list your Top 5 Romantic Movies, and why they make your list, and I'll pick a winner on Valentines Day.

The movie(s) you choose as a giveaway do not need to be a Romantic flick(s).

So 'lets get it on' and get this party started!

Have fun! :oohyeah:

And the winner by random draw of total # of posts with Ninjas counted 2X:

1. When Harry Met Sally-> Love story over life! Sweet and classic
2. (500) Days of Summer-> Breath of fresh air, grounded, real.
3. Titanic-> Who doesn't?
4. Definitely, Maybe -> Really cute and has an amazing soundtrack.
5. Ratatouille/Terminal/Curious Case of Benjamin Button-> Cop out? I loved these movies and they have romantic subplots, first takes place in Paris (come on!), second in an airport (come on!) and the last over a lifespan (COME ON!)

I have just now realized that not only have I seen few romance flicks, a lot that I have seen are generic crap. How sad!

I am ashamed to say, I've NEVER seen 'The Notebook'. I have the Limited ed in the other room, and am a fan of both Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosseling, and have not managed to watch it...that's it, it's going on the list. Great lists everyone, keep 'em coming!

BK, like other genres in Hollywood (action, thriller etc), they like to go with 'safe' and 'repetitive' plot lines, because they think it's what will sell, and appeal to everyone. Cool to see some different ones on the lists! Ricker...'Boxing Helena'...I thought I was the only person on earth that had ever seen that, LOL! :hilarious:

Trust you DB:rolleyes:

Shaun of the Dead
The Adjustment Bureau
High Fidelity
There's something about Mary
Braveheart

Thanks for doing this ;)

My top 5

1. Maid in Manhattan....I'm a massive Jennifer Lopez fan, and this is just always makes me smile :-D
2. The Holiday....yes it's also a christmas film, but its one of those romantic films that cross over a few genres successfully and I always watch it around Christmas!
3. Veer Zaara...it's a Bollywood film, it's about two people who give up everything for love...if you haven't seen it, just watch it and I dare u not to cry.
4. Dear John...Channing Tatum! Do I have to say any more?!? I fell in love with him after this, and it's also a reely touching film.
5. The Lake House...I reely don't know why but I love it! Maybe because it's got a bit of Scifi thrown in
to make it more complicated than the typical love stories tehe!

I know, I will never understood why the critics slammed it! Suppose she got her own back after The Blind Side lol! I could of also listed Love Potion no.9, Practical Magic, The proposal or practically Miss.Bullock's entire filmography...but just wanted my list to be diverse lol!

I loved the Proposal, thought she was adorable, and HOT. But I am getting OT, derailing my own thread:)

OMG..I completly forgot about Mrs.Bullock, yes we can do a top five with just her movies...:hilarious: here is mine

1. Practical magic
2. Blind Side
3. Two weeks notice
4. The proposal
5. While you were sleeping

Now julia roberts..:hilarious:

1. Pretty woman
2. Notting hill
3. Runnaway bride
4. My best friends wedding
5. Something to talk about..

Love them both...:)

5. Flipped (Most under-the-radar film of 2010)
4. When Harry Met Sally (I think everyone should see this at some point in time.)
3. Serendipity (I would change a couple of things about the movie, especially how much time wasted not being together, but Kate Beckinsale is so gorgeous, it doesn't matter.)
2. Breakfast at Tiffany's (Beautiful film.)
1. An Affair to Remember (I can't believe no one else had this. One of the best.)

1. Sleepless In Seattle
2. You've Got Mail
3. The Notebook
4. Some Like It Hot
5. Casablanca

Forgot to put the reason:

BECAUSE MY FIANCÉ TOLD ME SO. Lol

Why not...;) its so much better than ghost...

Sorry honey I dont want to fight, or start a big thing about this, i just dont think its appropriate I dont think thats what the site is about...if you dont like the movie dont even write it down...thats what I think...
Everybody is free to think whatever they want, but i dont think here is the place for this, there are other places where you can express yourself...

Db feel free to delete this if you think its agressive or inapropriate ok..

Again I am very sorry, but i stood 15 minutes looking at the computer and thinking...should i say something, should i leave it...sorry cant help it..:)

Holly I apologize if I have offended you or anyone else. It was very distasteful of me to joke about that. Sometimes the little kid in me just comes out with these comments. I have edited my post to remove that comment.
thanks,
Chris

Moulin rouge- because its a story of love that will make it against everything
The notebook- because when you love someone, it should be forever
Wall e- it's a love story of very few words
Crazy/beautiful- that two people that come from very different places can love each other
A walk to remember- love can come from the most unlikely places

Excellent contest as usual kiddo
