I am shocked that no one has said this movie, I don't see how it wouldn't count as a comeback story. My pick is the father to a murdered son, husband to a murdered wife, he will have his vengeance, in this life or the next.

It has to be Rocky 2 for me.

Ignore the 3rd film and onwards. The first 2 Rocky films are real gritty underdog stories, with quite a nice love story thrown in too. The part where Adrian wakes up and tells him to "win" is a little cheesy but still heartwarming. But what makes Rocky 2 the best for me is right at the end. Rocky standing there with the belt: "Yo Adrian, I did it". Makes me cry every time. That, to me, is the sign of a great film.
