I watched it today. Sadly must report, that this is just ok film. I really wanted to love that. Well this Withnail guy is soo annoying-I want this dude to be dead. Ok that is too much, but please just stop fu**ing talk man, will you? Forever please. Rest of characters is very good especially uncle and their friend with "big pipe" at the end:) (Sorry I don't remember name). And his line about come down, relax, take it easy, politic and staff is priceless.
I totaly understand why people love it, I do. It is special film, just not for everone. Some epic dialoges as well. And this steelbook is just must have for fans. Enjoy it

I've always avoided this film in the past, I always associated it with drunken students, didn't think it would appeal to me, thought if would be a complete chore, where very little happens, which just drags and drags.....

However, after two bottles of Carling Zest last night, I decided to watch it, and it really surprised me.

Extremely quotable, very British!

I found myself laughing out load quite a few times, went down well with some custard cream biscuits.

I might even get some friends round one night, and attempt the famous drinking game, that's associated with it.

Maybe it's time to remove 'HDN CHOOSES INSIDE ART!!!' from the thread title since the poll is closed

Just watched it for the first time. Some real quality moments. I'll have to get it. Moments of such clarity followed by hilarious vulgarity. Loved it.

I preordered this as a blind buy. Never even heard of it, but looks like a nice steel and if I really don't like the film I can always trade or sell my opened copy.

I choose pic 2. I don't know those scenes, of course, but I just don't like artwork in steels that cut someone's face in half. Pic #1 looks like it would do just that.
