Is that a DVD steel  it looks like but I've not seen that before.

Mine too arrived today, looks lovely fair play.

Yeah, thats one of the DVD steels that I kept. The excellent 20th Anniversary Edition steelbook from Anchor Bay. 3 disc as well. Contains the original score too. :D

Arrived today, lovely looking steel and a bloody good film!:movie:

As mentioned earlier, leave the bleeding glue gun out of it, fine for scrapbooks, etc....not the front of a tip top steelie!EEK!

Shame also about the bonus features, keep the Anchor Bay release then....

Yah great looking.... but region B locked with missing extras disc. It's an awesome looking steelbook, no doubt. But now the very people who are buying the steelbook have to go hunting for discs to complete the set. why in hell do studios do this?

Why do they do this.

I just want to know..... for real.

Why?

Does anybody know?

It's a really great question. I will wonder until somebody comes up with a good answer but I haven't heard one yet. Until then, here is the only conclusion I can come to to try to understand:

The decision makers (the executives... the folks in charge) are sitting around a conference table and here is what one of them says to the whole group:

"Hey... let's make a premium quality steelbook that collectors all over the world will just HAVE to have. And then... let's frustrate the hell out of them by not including all content and locking it to a single Region of the world. Ok folks, that's a wrap. Lunchtime.":dunno:

To be fair, the steelbook has exactly the same content as the amaray that studio canal/optimum released in 2011. It was a previous release (by Anchor Bay) that had the extras and these were just ported over from their DVD release. Optimum could hardly release material they didn't own but it would have been nice to see something newly created.

I have no idea about this movie. I bought the Steelbook by looking at the pics. To say I am happy will be an understatement. This is now in my all time top 10 favorite Steelbooks. Wish every Steelbook had such a fantastic and creative design. Hats off to everyone who were involved in the design of this Steelbook. It is simply stunning.

Yes, it's simply awesome!
Too bad I received the "banana edition" today.
I will now find out how Zavvi's CS are.

Well you can only go by what you see and i saw 25 left, so unless theres a box hidden somewhere....

Very true, I wouldn't be surprised at all if the number is accurate, it's a beauty, probably the best Steelbook StudioCanal have released :)
