This Tuesday, we’re supersizing one of our favorite Joe Quesada covers dedicated to the one and only, Wolverine!
In 2009, Marvel released a line of variant covers dedicated to exploring notable fine artists from decades past, including Van Gogh, Magritte, and Dali, remixed through the lens of comics and everybody’s bub, Wolverine! Dubbed Wolverine Art Appreciation month, Joe Quesada’s brilliant cover art was used when Marvel bundled all of the inventive covers as their own issue and release.
Joe Q’s Marvel art throughout the decades defined many of our favorite characters, and his sword-slinging Wolverine against an intricate floral background offers an ode to the legendary painters of the past, and the legendary character of Wolverine. We worked with our printers and production crew to bring the sharpest (SNIKT!) image possible as both a screen print and Multi-Layer Acrylic.
