I wonder if these will have the laser etching that the Entertainment Store ones have.

Ha. Look at that price. This just goes to show you how much of a rip off the Ent Store one was at double the price.
At the time of Entertainment Stores release it was a new release title, had 3D included and was numbered with laser etched numbering.

You could say that about any re-release 2-3 years later.......

ah. didn't realize the 3D. The so called "laser etching" never impressed me tbh. looked more like simple numbers printed.

fair call about 3D, new release, and embossing though.

Have Italy been trapped in a wormhole or something?

Literally releasing titles from years back with the same art. Some are really old releases (super 8, 2012)

I expect this will be the exact same steelbook as before with embossing

The only difference will be not laser etching numbered or include the 3D disc that is replaced by a DVD copy instead it's still a 2 Disc release

The Gladiator steelbook release in Italy was the exact same as HDzeta

Universal it's their product they can re release as many times in any country they want
Paramount releases are distributed in Europe through Universal Pictures Home Entertainment since July 1st 2015

If same steel treatment and even with less content it's a stunning item and a worthy addition to the collection of someone not around to pick up the long OOP original.
The numbering (x out of 5,000) not really a big deal and not a selling point for me personally.

Anyway, a brief butchers at the E.S. edition and a few of the others nearly equally as good:-

U.K. (Entertainment Store exclusive). Matte finish with embossing to the front seen to good effect in these pics. No problem with the back and front having similar images. Not my whitest steelbook and definitely one of my all-time U.K. favourites

No comment necessary as to how/if these upcoming releases will affect the "values" of the equivalent classic U.K. steelbooks such as this E.S. exclusive or SALT (HMV exclusive) or WATCHMEN (Play.com exclusive) and any others lurking waiting to pop up.

TAIWAN, FRANCE etc.

GERMANY (Saturn exclusive)

GERMANY (Muller exclusive) missing the 3D disc . . . same as the upcoming steelbook from Italy.

Thanks to Kekeao for gathering all 4 in one place and for photographic them.

I love the numbering on my entertainment store steel. I wish it was the norm for numbering Steelbooks, feels like much more of a collectable than the Slip or j-card being numbered

i think it should be laser etched and visible only from the inside. with sticker or card style numbering visible from outside to indicate number without having to open.

Amazon Italy are like 3-4 years behind everyone else with the same releases....when are they going to realise this? Watch them all tumble down to buy 1 get 1 free at 13 euros
