Would a blu-ray only release put you off buying an Astro Creations Excl Steelbook?

As per the title, I'm looking to gauge interest on how a blu-ray only title will be received for the next Astro Creations release.

The title in mind is pretty high profile, with no real special edition to speak of, and I know its near the top of many people's want lists... there's just no 4K release for it.

Nah I can see it in my minds eye. It would look incredible. Keep it clean, full gloss and embossing on the title and Mena and you have gold. You’d keep the petals around her embossed too, around the edge of her. Not gaps in her body.

Gotcha. I'd still prefer just debossing on the title though... embossing would be too OTT for that particular artwork IMHO.

I mostly always go for embossing over debossing, as my custom mock-ups show. But I just really don't think it'd work as well in this case. Same with the recent Northman steel... embossing ruined it for me, mainly because the border was too distracting with that particular art, as I feel it would be here with the rose art. Not saying I'd hate it though... it'd probably still look great either way!

But anyway... getting excited about a title we might never actually get now lol.

Discs can always be replaced if need be... I've already done it with a couple old steels (replaced the BD with 4K)

Wouldn't be able to make a decision until I finally receive the Lone Survivor steelbook which was supposedly shipped way back in October but tracking shows it as still in UK (I'm in US).

I'd suggest you hunt down the kimchidvd release of Nice Guys from "TheOn" Collection. Beautiful steelbook and slips.

I don't think that has seen a steel release? I may be wrong.
Might be too under the radar. Absolute gem though.
Edit: Nope it hasn't as far as I can tell.

Yeah I don't recall it ever getting a steelbook but i love that movie. Also doing a premium of the lighthouse would sell like hotcakes too

Everyone's already decided it's American Beauty, but there's actually a lot of popular and 'high-profile' films on Blu-ray only.
It could be Magnolia, for example.
Or The Insider, or Go, even from the same year, but those are different studios of course, just saying.

Oh definitely, love both the songs used, like Iguazu and Safe from Harm, and original tracks with Lisa Gerrard like The Subordinate and especially Meltdown.

Not for me. Not by a long shot. It's probably my 3rd favourite after there will be blood and boogie nights. I'd still take AB 1st.

I love both lol. His worst for me so far has been Inherent Vice... literally struggled to even finish that.
