As per the title, I'm looking to gauge interest on how a blu-ray only title will be received for the next Astro Creations release.

The title in mind is pretty high profile, with no real special edition to speak of, and I know its near the top of many people's want lists... there's just no 4K release for it.

Cross posted as a pole within the Lone Survivor thread - Lone Survivor (4K Blu-ray SteelBook) (Astro Creations Exclusive 001)

Thank you in advance for any input.

I love both lol. His worst for me so far has been Inherent Vice... literally struggled to even finish that.
I love both American Beauty and Magnolia.
Wanted to put Inherent Vice as the worst, as I couldn't get through it in one sitting, twice, but considered the 70's vibe and some good secondary actors and character moments in it, while The Master had nothing for me, but utter boredom.

I initially felt the same about The Master, but decided to give it a second chance some years later and fell in love with it. Would like that to be the case with Inherent Vice as well, but literally can't bring myself to even attempt to sit through it again.

His best films are boogie nights, the master, there will be blood and inherent vice. All 10/10
I love all his films bar Licorice Pizza (thought that was just ok), Phantom Thread (was kinda meh but I'm interested in giving it a rewatch), and Inherent Vice which I've already explained.

Hard Eight seems to hardly ever get a mention, but it's a fantastic film, especially for a directorial debut.

Agree inherent vice is an absolute shitshow. His worst for me

The master and there will be blood are his best for me.
Hard to pick my favourite, but it's definitely between TWBB, The Master, and Boogie Nights. The latter always gives me Tarantino vibes, and since he's my favourite director, I'd probably lean more towards calling BN my favourite if I absolutely had to choose.

Would honestly love to see more premium editions for his filmography... Plain Archive nailed it with their Master release and I always hoped they'd do more.

Yeah but no one’s gagging to get their hands on Magnolia or The Insider, just saying

Despicable Me Hello GIF by Minions

I'd happily walk through traffic for those two. :hilarious:

Insider is in my top ten films of all time.

The Master is a fu*king masterpiece. ( Always a pun there )
Phoenix's performance should have beaten out DDL and Lincoln for the Oscar - in fact during DDLs winners speech he basically said it should have gone to J Phoenix.

But then I love slow tense talkies. So all of the above.

Will definitely buy if it's a great film with no steelbook edition yet (I'm picturing Kiss Kiss Bang Bang )

Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback; it's been invaluable!

Just like everything else at present regarding my next release, things are changing daily. The original purpose of this thread was for a specific title I had in mind.

I've now been advised that, for the time being, I can no longer use this title for my next release. I have, however, picked my next title. I will now need to await the paperwork, which I've been told shouldn't take very long. Once I receive this, I will then announce it.

Many thanks again for the support. @Noodles will now lock this thread but keep the poll active for anyone who wants to add their take.
