Title: X-Men: Dark Phoenix (2018)

Genre: Action, Science Fiction

Director: Simon Kinberg

Cast: Sophie Turner, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Jessica Chastain, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, Evan Peters, Tye Sheridan, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Alexandra Shipp, Lamar Johnson, Summer Fontana, Kota Eberhardt, Scott Shepherd, Evan Jonigkeit, Gregg Lowe, Olivia Munn, Daniel Cudmore

Release: 2018-11-02

Plot: Gathered together by Professor Charles Xavier to protect a world that fears and hates them, the X-Men had fought many battles, been on adventures that spanned galaxies, grappled enemies of limitless might, but none of this could prepare them for the most shocking struggle they would ever face. One of their own members, Jean Grey, has gained power beyond all comprehension, and that power has corrupted her absolutely! Now they must decide if the life of the woman they cherish is worth the existence of the entire universe!

Actually they moved the date the day after the trailer was released. They received a lot of negative feedback so it's more reshoots and editing. They are also rushing out as many x-men universe movies as they can before they lose it all to Disney. Including Gambit for 2020. Without a director.

I've long said that I felt the reshoots and delays were probably due to Disney getting involved, though I admit I thought it was because they wouldn't want the last Fox X-Men film to be total crap and they be left with a license that has been tarnished but the Hollywood Reporter are suggesting the whole film may now be released under the Disney banner and that there may actually be links to the MCU added into the film during these reshoots

I certainly wouldn't be against the current crop of actors continuing as their characters in the MCU

I think both trailers have looked good but ultimately it doesn't matter if this film is a rip roaring success or a total fail (like those who have already seen it are saying it is) as it's all getting rebooted as soon as Disney get their hands on it anyway

I'm trying real hard to be thrilled by this… but just can't…
Is it because of old X3 Last Stand or just Apocalypse that killed it???

Its because we haven't earned this storyline with this newer cast yet. We were only introduced to Jean and the rest in the last movie and it did a poor job.
So its going to be hard to care about these characters this time around. I'm just hoping that the older newer cast can ground the film.

But if feels like Fox doesn't care either. It makes no sense from a marketing standpoint that they would reveal...
That Mystique dies in the trailer.
Kinberg even confirmed it. What the hell?

A part of me is kind of glad this is the last one. So we can finally start over with Marvel and do this right.

That said. I am looking forward to it still and I HOPE that it is good. I really do.
