I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

sure.why the heck dont they give away every release for free to everybody as a gesture of goodwill. no seriously, i have the feeling many members got spoilt a bit with all the voucher codes lately... they should be seen as a gift from zavvi to us, but some people moan like it's zavvis duty.

My point is that a lot of the codes that are supposed to work don't work for a lot of people (even when they use them within the time frame on eligible items). A lot of members seem to get personal codes by email. To be honest, 'spoilt' and 'Zavvi' just don't belong in the same sentence.

And I'm not talking about free either. And yes, I do think Zavvi should make sure their universal codes work for everyone.

Well credit where credit is due, Zavvi were very quick to respond to my enquiry about my change of card details. As Jimmyv posted earlier, they will send out an email when they are about to charge for my current pre-orders, at which point I'll have an opportunity to give them my new card details.

What a relief, with just about all of them now OOS.

[Thank you for getting in touch, if your card has changed since when these pending orders were made you need to just wait until an error message is sent to you, which registers that the current details do not match what was on our records at the time of ordering.
At that point you should follow the steps and provide the new details to ensure that the order goes through.
Even though you may have updated the bank details in your personal account, these will not be used for the pending orders and so need to be submitted when the item is ready to be sent and when the payment process begins, which is when the error message will be sent automatically

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch

Sometimes I've had 'payment problem' emails sent to me when there is actually no problem with my card, and the issue seems to be that the item is not actually in stock, so no matter how many times I change my payment details I'll get the same error message. I don't think it happens a lot though, but once it occured after an actual card issue and I did not make sure to resolve it straight away, so I guess the stock went to someone else in the meantime. So it might be best to change the card details as soon as you get that email!

Their cs response time seem to have improved during the last few months, so it's good to see that something's improving. Also, their in stock items seem to ship within a few hours of placing an order and usually much quicker than most other retailers I use.

A bit new to this. Just had my 1st Steelbook with a defect. How are Zavvi with sending replacements ? There 1st reply was for a 15% refund! but not what I wanted. So asked for replacement.

I see on zavvi aliens Steelbook on preorder for 18,75 € , where is write the quantity of the steelbook remains for buyers ?
It's better buy now or wait for prix down ?: Dunno:

Zavvi is becoming a complete nightmare for me now. I never had any problems until about six weeks ago. They keep shipping with ripped cellophane. They replace the items but it takes an age, they now have said they will only replace if I pay the postage or I could take £1.50 as an apology. I told them where to go.

You did receive a mint copy though. If you want mint cellophane I'm sure you can find it in your local Tesco.

Next thing you know, people will return items because the cardboard packaging in which they arrive won't be mint. :hilarious:

I am entitled to a perfect copy of anything when I buy. I don't want a refund I want a mint copy.. and I know what my reply to you would be as well....

If you bought a Steelbook from HMV and later noticed there was a small tear in the shrinkwrap (let's say you were in a hurry and didn't check it over properly), would you take it back? No you wouldn't, you would get laughed out of the shop :hilarious:

Maybe you should open your Steelbooks, they are much better with the wrapping off. There's even this thing inside called a Blu-ray Disc with a film on it, a revelation to some I know, some would even say that's the best part

And you would be up in arms if you received a steelbook from blu-fans that way. So what's the difference?
