Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

It is dented at the opening and has a series of indentations across the front cover from a machine or wheel. I had problems sending them a JPG photo at first and then downsized it and sent it without any apparent problems but they are telling me they did not receive it so I have resent the photo and another e-mail. I have given Zavvi a lot of business and lodged only one complaint in that time that they dealt with satisfactorily when I never received my Planet of the Apes SB. I could have lodged another when my Junglebook arrived with a spine slash but I let that one slide so their response to my complaint will be instrumental in determining how much of my cash goes into their pocket in the future.
