Current packaging is a cardboard mailer with the steelbook usually wrapped in either a layer of bubble wrap or foam

I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

1/19/2013 Member Nyvo tweeted Zaavi about packaging concerns. They said they may be looking into alternate packaging methods.

Bought Planes just yesterday for £20, tried to cancel it. Zavvi have charged already before shipping. Great.

Of course they are going to charge you before shipping, otherwise you could just use fake details and get the item for free when payment fails :hilarious:

Most places charge as the start of the dispatch process, Zavvi even claim to do so. Being charged yesterday morning when as of 8pm tonight they still haven't shipped isn't really acceptable.
 
Zavvi is doing some good flash sales lately, but a bit of a dry run of no discount codes. Are they changing their business model? It is their right to do so as the retailer. I am just asking out of curiosity if anyone knows. (or if anyone knows of any valid codes right now :D)

i doubt they are changing there business model,and im sure there will be some codes knocking about soon,but these flash sales make up for it :scat:
 
I don't think these flash sales are all that.

It's always the same titles that they are trying to flog. The ones I really want to add to my collection are all still priced too high :(
 
why o why can't they just sell them at £10 from the beginning? I don't like seeing these dramatic price drops, it grates me. Bunch of Muppets

Annoys the heck out of me too mate but not as much as when these so called sales show increase priced items for example The Lone Ranger is now £18.99 up by £4.00
 
Ok, so the New Zavvi trend is to refuse to reimburse postage costs if they decide to have a change of heart (/brains). I had a customer service representative confirm that the Return postage would be reimbursed, then someone decided to classify the item as 'unwanted' instead of 'damaged' and now they tell me they can't do anything. I've spent countless hours dealing With customer service, and almost everytime there is a problem. I am seriously considering cancelling all my pre-orders.
 
What do they do when a steel does not arrive, Lone Ranger has gone missing for me, they have made me wait a few weeks, now I've waited 2 days since the last person replied to my query.... after sales is really bad
 
Think you need to wait 14 working days before the item is classified as lost. If they don't respond next week then email them again. Usually then email a lost form. If you paid by PayPal then raise dispute or try posting in their facebook/twitter account about the bad after sales service. :)

I waited 45 days to receive my steelbook and nothing by now. I just make a request help and they just tell me that the time for refunds is 40 days and they just cannot do anything for me.

They just don't care. I never will do business with zavvi again

You're absolutely right - they don't! And you can't have a conversation With them as they fail review previous Messages in a Query. Therefore you should make sure always to quote previous Messages, as they will treat every Message as a New Query.
