I now have confirmation that I can announce ... for all those worried about future packaging from Zavvi. My Play contact has been working with zavvi as well on this mission for better packaging. Between the 3 of us and the future comments from this community after its in place I'm sure it will be go over well.

I don't see the problem. The responses are very quick and lots of major companies have CS twitters. I recovered my email thanks to twitter

The problem is Ben not everyone holds a twitter or FB account so if it's easier to contact them this way or you get a better response from these methods then it's not fair play.

And what is it with Zavvi that you have to post photos of damaged steels received. It's like they don't believe you. So glad I do not have to go through all that hassle with them anymore. They are responsible for the item until it has been delivered in 100 per cent perfect condition that's it. If it's damaged it's damaged you should not gave to prove it's damaged if it is it's their responsibility no one else's.

In comparison from months ago, all options available to us to resolve issues seem to have improved. I sent several e-mails including an e-mail regarding my points and they already replied via the website. I am guessing the vocal nature of inquiries on all platforms has helped lead to this. It is true that most companies have opened up a variety of channels of communication to resolve, and publicize items over the years (including Facebook, Twitter etc), but I am still getting responses via e-mail.

Thank you for getting in touch about your Zavvi points.

I've just passed your details over to our IT team to ensure that any points used on this order are returned to your Zavvi account, and they should be available there shortly.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,
Chris

Hmmmm must have missed the fine print on zavvi's website that says you must sign up for twitter or Facebook to contact them regarding any info on your order. Thanks for clearing that up
It was a suggestion. If you want a quick response then IMHO the best way is twitter. You can get an email response yeah but it's not as fast as twitter. No one is forcing you to sign up for twitter

Those two initially sold out and were then made available again, the reason being that the print run was increased as Kashby said. This on the other hand has never been marked as sold out until now. So what you are referencing is completely irrelevant.

What I find funny is that you can't seem to grasp the ludicrousness of the suggestion that Zavvi would wait five months to action this plan rather than simply do it a week after release when collectors still actually give a damn. Apart from those continuing this debate, no one else cares that this is sold out. So either Zavvi have made a massive miscalculation or you're just talking crap.

Back in stock :hilarious:

And here we have Zavvi's packaging for today! A crappy fairly thin card envelope. The shrink wrap was torn on the front and back and the J card has a bend on the corner and a tear on the back! "fortunately the steel was perfect"

I seriously hope this isn't what they will be delivering the glossy Disney steels in.

Damn psychoscot :\ I hope my doesn't arrive like that lol surely will be messed up. I am glad your kill bill is alright though!

Cheers mate, so far I seem to have been very luck, as I have yet to receive a damaged actual steel from them "touch wood". This packaging and a double jiffy bag wrap around Christmas time have been the only times I haven't received their standard white box. Wasn't too big a problem as I open all mine and the steel itself was still OCD perfect, but I wouldn't like to think what state the steel would be in on international orders as it has no padded protection at all.

I live in France and always got my steelbooks in a box so far (except at the beginning like everyone here)

the only troubles I got was "loose disc" never get a dented or ding item ... fingers crossed

Zavvi never refunded me at least a small amount when I complained a couple of times about the "loose disc" problem ...

I too just received a steel from Zavvi with a loose disc...and of course, it's a copy that I wasn't planning to open.

Has anyone else had any luck in getting Zavvi to replace or discount a steelbook with a loose disc?
