Like I already said in the FAC thread, front artwork is too busy, back artwork too simple, so that they don't match each other. Besides, no movie title and character pictures on the spine again 
This WWA is an easy pass for me again, like Good Dinosaur and Star Wars before. Just go on like this Disney, and I will never have to buy a steelbook from you again

Aaaaaaaand cancelled! Standard preorder-waitforart-cancel bullshit for every damn Disney steel. They really are at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to steelbook treatment. When the F will they understand that were not interested in titleless steels with floating heads on the spine and subpar artwork? Cheap bastards...
I still like the front artwork & I can even live without the title-less spine...but what is with that bare metal border around the front image?! It derails the look of the whole thing.
It should go without saying that the back art is relatively unimportant when compared to the front and I don't understand comments about inconsistency . . .
You just have to look at 99% of steelbooks to see that either the back art is very different to the front or the image is much simpler and if I could be bothered I could list 1,001 examples of this.
If only consistency is good enough (LOL) then:
- Only buy steels with very similar/samey images on both sides (SPECTRE, HUNGER GAMES COLLECTION, RESERVOIR DOGS Mondo, FACE/OFF, HOOK, BRAM STOKER'S DRACULA, BRIDGE ON THE RIVER KWAI, LAWRENCE OF ARABIA, LAST WITCH HUNTER, THE RAID, IRON MAN lenti, DEADPOOL, SHAUN THE SHEEP, ZORRO and others)
- Only buy steels where the colouring is the same on both sides (BOURNE LEGACY, GRAVITY, THE EXPENDABLES and others).
- Only buy steels wih artwork that crosses over from the front across the spine on to the back (OBLIVION, CASINO ROYALE, DR. TERROR'S HOUSE OF HORRORS and others).
Give me variety in artwork, in finish, in choice of films and I'm
and regarding the choice of front artwork for ZOOTROPOLIS . . .

Preferred the older artwork, not sure about the new artwork and the spine i think like star wars is going to be a deal breaker for me to. Come on Disney.
As I mentioned in the FAC thread I like the front art and don't mind the back but the spine is always a killer for me. Anyway I'm interested in what FAC or maybe kimchi do for this. I'll be cancelling my zavvi order for one of those

Regarding the SILVER FRAMING BORDER: Just a thought, but maybe a possibility that we have a RAMBO 4 steelbook situation here with the mock up showing a heavy framing border totally absent in the real thing

It's definatley an odd choice for the border but it's not the worst I've seen for a new Disney film
Noticed they've done it the right way round though compared to Cinderella, good dinosaur, monsters uni etc with them having the better art on the back and simplistic on the front
Sorry to disappoint, dude - looks like I was mistaken in making a Rambo connection.
Still looks lovely to me though.
Thanks for sharing mate... hadn't seen those photos before. Very poorly executed overall... the front looks totally out of place compared to the rest, and that random silver border really doesn't help.

I actully don't mind it except the spine (as f*cking always with these jokers) and the silver border could of done without but like I said it's no different to previous designs (bar the border) except the art is the right way round on this release.
Would love for my Cinderella or good dinosaur to be the other way round
