ORIGINAL POST:
Batman' TV show to receive complete-series set in 2014

Very excited for this hope it come in some kind of special edition like the Shakespeare bust no word if it's dvd or blu ray but hope for bluray and don't see why not here the details from USA today

Holy nostalgia, Caped Crusader! The original 1960s Batman show is finally getting a home-video release, and Conan O'Brien couldn't be happier.

USA TODAY confirmed the news that the late-night talk-show host tweeted to his 9.75 million followers Wednesday: Warner Bros. Entertainment will be releasing the complete series this year in a box set. He also added a picture of himself and the classic Batmobile with the quip, "The seat smells like Adam West."

The original series, which ran 1966-68 on ABC and in later years in syndication, was many people's introduction to the superhero outside of comics, especially before the Tim Burton Batman movie was released in 1989. And compared to the "Dark Knight" era that began in the 1980s with comics icon Frank Miller and others, the TV show was a lighthearted, campy affair starring West as the earnest Batman and his alter ego Bruce Wayne, Burt Ward as Robin and Yvonne Craig as Batgirl.

However, the many colorful villains they faced on a weekly basis were arguably more of a draw, with a stable of mainstays including the Joker (Cesar Romero), the Penguin (Burgess Meredith), the Riddler (Frank Gorshin) and three different women to wear the tight leather of Catwoman (Lee Meriwether, Eartha Kitt and Julie Newmar). Celebrities of the day were regular guest stars, including film director Otto Preminger as Mr. Freeze, Milton Berle as Louie the Lilac, Vincent Price as Egghead, Liberace as Chandell and his twin brother Harry, and Zsa Zsa Gabor as Minerva.

Details will be announced later on specific platforms and pricing.

This is now showing up on eBay in a new green box that eliminates the Batmobile but adds a script and the Batman movie. Supposed to be a retailer exclusive but not sure which retailer has these. Anybody know?

It's exclusive to batmanondvd.com. You can get it as a Blu-ray or DVD set, and instead of the Batmobile it comes with a letter from Adam West, a copy of the script for The Joker is Wild, Adam West Naked DVD, and the movie on DVD (even for the Blu-ray set). The actual box itself and not just the artwork is also different to what's used for the edition you can get everywhere else. Personally, I like this set better and I think it's cheaper too. But, US only which means it's a bit out of my reach.

Has anyone heard any news on the replacement discs? The last I knew Warner were hoping to have them ready by the end of January but it seems like they've forgotten all about it and are hoping we will too.

I still haven't seen a single episode yet as the first disc is one that needs replacing!

Does anyone know who I should contact about this? I have not received either the replacement discs nor an email to say they are being posted. I have filled in the online form twice and had two 'thank you' emails, but since then, nada. :-(

If I am in the queue, how long am I supposed to wait?
