Ive had massive worries recently when it comes to home insurance.
My mother was stung when her Lilliput Lane (dont laugh) collection was stolen - and although the models range from £20 to £200 (so doesnt break the £1,000 declared limit for Home Insurance declarations) they still wouldnt pay out - because it was a collection - and its the collections value.
So I want to ring my home insurance people and let them know about my awesome much loved collection.
However, how do I justify the price? I look on Play.com/Amazon a number of mine are £50+ but would they believe me - or take Amazon as an example?
Is there a website (like antiques) that has current values of steelbooks I can quote?
Anyone have experience with valuing collections?
