BIG HERO 6: THE SERIES
Maya Rudolph, Jamie Chung and Stan Lee are among the Big Hero 6 voice cast members set to reprise their roles for Disney XD's upcoming series.
Rudolph (as Aunt Cass), Chung (as speed genius Go Go) and Stan Lee as Fred's dad will return for the animated series, which based on Walt Disney Animation Studios' 2014 feature film inspired by the Marvel comics of the same name.
Other original voice cast set to reprise their roles are Scott Adsit as huggable robot Baymax, Alan Tudyk as tech guru Alistair Krei, Ryan Potter as tech genius Hiro, Genesis Rodriguez as quirky scientist Honey Lemon, David Shaughnessy as butler Heathcliff and Marvel Comics legend Stan Lee as Fred's dad.
In addition, Khary Payton (The Lion Guard) has joined as control freak Wasabi (voiced by Damon Wayans Jr. in the movie), and Brooks Wheelan (Saturday Night Live) will play fanboy Fred (voice by T.J. Miller in the movie).
The series, which picks up immediately following the events of the film, continues the adventures and friendship of 14-year-old tech genius Hiro and his compassionate, cutting-edge robot Baymax. Along with their friends Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Go Go and Fred, they form the legendary superhero team Big Hero 6 and embark on high-tech adventures as they protect their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains.
The series is set to debut in 2017.
