Blu-Ray movies playing in DVD Multi-Channel Mode

I changed my blu-ray player to a Sony BDP-S3100, and I have an all HDMI setup. I've played a couple of movies and noticed that the receiver is showing DVD Multi-Channel on the display instead of one of the high-def audio formats. With the old blu-ray player (Sony BDP S350) the movies would always playback in one of the high def audio formats.
