A police report says a gun that Cleveland Browns player Shaun Rogers allegedly tried to carry through airport security was cocked with a bullet in the chamber.

The Plain Dealer reported Monday that the police report states the cocked semiautomatic handgun was on safe mode with seven bullets in the magazine and one in the chamber.

Rogers has pleaded not guilty to a concealed weapons charge after authorities say he tried to carry the handgun through airport security in a carryon bag.

The 31-year-old nose tackle has apologized to his fans and his team, saying he didn't mean to take the gun into Cleveland Hopkins International Airport.

Rogers told police he forgot the gun was in his bag when he attempted to fly to Texas on Thursday.

either this guy is lieing and he was gonna do some damage, or he is just incredibly stupid.

i tend to think the latter. if true, they should just put him in jail and charge him with insane stupidity. how dumb do you have to be to forget YOU HAVE A FREAKING LOADED GUN in your bag?!?

please, PLEASE lock this fat-imbecilec-football-retard up away FOREVER and save the human race from the chance of him passing on his idiot genes to another generation.

America, a country where the stupidest citizens can make millions of dollars

Well, in his defense ... **** could happen, I mean if your a gun collector or a fan of guns and you do alot of shooting at shooting ranges then perhaps he left it in a bag of which he owns alot of bags being a rich NFL player.

After an off-season practice of which he got lit up by a hard tackle he then grabbed the wrong bag while heading out in a hurry trying to catch a flight.

Yeah...... that's the ticket!
