I'm hosting a group buy for any of you people out there that are interested in the Flash Gordon Blu-ray Steelbook from Target, which is #006 in the Mondo line

Pre-order cost is $24.99 per copy
Sales tax of 5.5% per copy ($26.36 with taxes)

You'll note that the price will not likely drop further, but in order to guarantee the number of copies requested, I order from Target.com ahead of time and cannot price match.

Due to the large amount of work for international group buys, including a few visits to the post office and packaging materials, the fee will be $3.00 for the first copy and $2.00 for each additional. but that TOTAL cost is DONATED TO HDN upkeep costs.

Paypal fees will be included in any invoice sent.

Limit of 3x copies per request.

Only mint / new copies will be passed on to members here.

Additionally - these steelbooks usually come wrapped in clear plastic slips. I'll do my best to inspect them, but I cannot see underneath the plastic.

This is the largest group buy that I have personally hosted, and while it will be a lot of work, I'm excited about the prospect of this opportunity for all members, new and old alike.

However, I am not a retailer. Orders for requested items have been placed on your behalf, with no payment being taken up front. There are a number of logistics behind the scenes that have taken place, which have created a lot of effort on my part so far. These orders are being charged to my account in a rolling basis, and one can guess how much that might be.

Having said that, any request when made is required to be followed through. If you placed an order for 2 copies and now want 1, you will have to take the 2 copies.

If you want to drop out completely, I understand, but it is required that you make payment for your items. I am more than willing to work with you, in terms of payment terms that might be more reasonable for your circumstances, but I cannot place, cancel and place more orders based on changing requests.

Therefore, if you are invoiced at the end of the month and cannot pay for your copy (or copies), negative trade feedback will be left, and other group buy hosts will be notified of any bad faith trades.

Sorry for the bluntness of this message, and the length, but I have received quite a few messages the past couple of days requesting to drop out.

I'm going to start compiling a list with everyone's request all in one spot along with any information that I have.

However, the issue is that I don't have these in hand, and while I can guess at their total weight, I won't know for sure.

Meaning if I'm too light or heavy on the estimate - either the buyer would be paying too much, or HDN would receive too little - to cover postage costs.

That's the main reason I'm delaying, and in addition, I have taken steps to insure this many copies are going to be sent without too much trouble, one thing I've learned during my time in the steelbook game, things (and when you least expect it) go wrong with retailers...

There are just too many variables invoicing in advance when this many items aren't in hand
