BAD MOMS CHRISTMAS (saw it last night)

I have to say i really enjoyed the movie. I actually liked the first one but as most sequels do suck i wasnt really expecting too much from this one but, it surprised me with how funny it actually was even thou its way over the top. Kathryn Hahn shinned in the first movie but this one was Christine Baranski that actually made the movie for me. And i do understand this might not be in line with the majority of the opinions on this flick but you know sometimes you just enjoy a movie for what it is and what it intends to be.

A ghost story

I was absolutely mesmerized by this film. What a truly beautiful film. The cinematography is breathtaking, each individual shot is like a work of art.

The ending was perfection. Just all round beautiful.

P.s think I'm in love with Rooney Mara even more after this. Marry me?

5 out of 5

Last film I saw at the cinema was The Last Jedi.

To be honest, like many I was disappointed. I'm still not sure 100% how I feel about the movie. One thing I didn't like was the cringey forced humour in certain scenes and I was very disappointed with the direction Lukes character took. It just didn't have that special 'feel' of a Star Wars movie for me.

Having said all that, I need to see it again now that I am over the initial shock of what unfolded for me in the theatre!

Thanks for this awesome giveaway.

Black Panther
- the story itself is actually a quite standard generic marvel film, and cinematography is a little disappointing, considering how amazing the sets and costumes were. but great characters nonetheless - absolutely LOVE shuri! the production design shines the brightest in this one.

thanks for the giveaway!

The Killing of a sacred Deer
A powerful movie, specially torwards the end, the last 30 minutes.
I will say in that it's the opposite of the Lobster which the first 30 minutes are the most powerful
The angle choose by the director are always innovative and put tension with it and those strange sounds
Not a movie for everybody, but if you want to have something different and refreshing, that's for you.

Thanks again :)

Was blown away by this movie. I thought it was better than Goodfellas. Joe Pesci was the man, although he was the villain I was rooting for him. Had a blast watching this for the first time at home last night.

Thanks for the giveaway!

THE PHANTOM THREAD

This is a movie about love. I would say it's a movie about the endless journey of falling for someone who is radically different from you, who is "other than you". Both lovers have to embark on this journey, since both have in front of them a person who doesn't overlap with their ideal, with their expectations. Since ideals and expectations are ethereal while persons are flesh and blood. You'll never know if the journey will be eventually successful, so you better enjoy the ride itself :)

Black Panther - Excellent! Basically it's really good as even my missus enjoyed it and she normally doesn't really like Marvel films.
Thanks for the giveaway.

Last movie I saw in a theater was Shape of Water
Good pace, great cinematography, and some very powerful scenes.
The passion that can be emitted by a mute character was by itself worth the watch.

The dark tower

The saga of "The Black Tower", with its 8 books, has engaged Stephen King for over 30 years. The audacious project to derive a film from this vast material, however, in a duration of less than 2 hours, making it more essential and accessible cinematically speaking, while appreciable, however, has shown all its limitations and imperfections. The film is unfortunately hurried, schematic and superficial, sometimes chaotic and confusing, mechanical and predictable. The work lacks style, and above all authentic inspiration and fascination to excite or capture the viewer's interest. And maybe even King's fans will disappoint. The actors are saved, but at a formal-technical level it could have been more cured or in any case dared more. The evocative power of the mythology of "The Black Tower" has remained in the original novels.

Black panther

Not your standard Marvel movie. But I think it was a great movie. Nice to see they integrated the african culture in this movie.
This is your chance to see Wakanda (and what it's all about).

Thank you, @digitalbabe!

Here's what I wrote after watching Paddington 2 (this is a short review, for me!):

How can the Paddington movies be so good, when nearly all other children's/family films are so awful? (I'm going mostly by the trailers I see, for movies that I can't imagine actually going to see.)

This sequel may not be quite as stellar as the first, but that's only because I had no expectations of the first one, and now I have high expectations. It is an excellent sequel, as stylish and beautiful as the first in every way. I like that it's obviously created by people who love the Paddington stories as much as we do. Fun in this one to see versions of the barbershop and the bucket stories.

There are a lot of great cameos in this film, and so many interesting and amusing bits of text or image in every corner of the frame that it will take more than one viewing to take it all in.

A great Sunday afternoon out with the family. I love days like this.

The Room

yes I finally let my guard down and let myself be washed away by the sheer awfulness of Tommy Wiseau's directorial debut. A daytime TV thriller that received cult status due to it's terrible acting, woeful direction and hilariously bad everything else, It's one of those films where you think they are taking the piss and are making it intentionally bad but once you realise that you are looking at a Hollywood car crash of the highest order, you can't look away

Last film I saw was last week, Room on blu-ray. And it was the first film in 3 years that I rated 10/10!
Great acting, great synergy between the lead actress, (Brie Larson who won the oscar for this part) and the lead child actor (who in my opinion should have been nominated for an oscar for this part). The film took a hold of me and I simply loved it.

Thanks for the giveaway.

Last night I watched Lethal Weapon 2 which I have not watched in over a decade. I was surprised at how much I did not remember about the movie and I enjoyed the viewing quite a bit. The picture quality was great and the audio wasn't too shabby either. I think the addition of Joe Pesci really put it over the top and the action sequences were also stepped up a notch. Definitely worth a watch if you have not seen it in a while or ever.

Black Panther. A fun journey from prince to King. Great movie with a lot of feel good moments. It was somewhat predictable, but still entertaining. I would put it in my top 5 Marvel movies. Chadwick Boseman is very likeable as the lead. I would have liked more Andy Serkis, he was great!. My only complaint is the CGI. There were many scenes in Wakanda where you could tell the background was totaly fake. Already pre-ordered the 4K Steelbook!

Thanks for the opportunity!

The last movie I watched was the cloverfield paradox last night and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the film in general, I don’t want to give too much away but it was one of those movies you don’t need to think too much about but it kept you just slightly confused to keep you interested I’d give it a 6/10

Watched Blended on TV recently (have seen it fully before). Adam Sandler movies usually make people roll their eyes, but I tend to enjoy (most) of them. I think he and Drew Barrymore have great chemistry together on screen. This movie definitely has some good jokes, some that miss, but overall a good watch.

Black Panther. It was good but I felt it was too marvel/disney cookie cutter. I was guessing the plot half way thru because it was so choreographed. I liked it but it seems marvel is getting lazy.

I watched Black Panther two days ago and the movie is a great addition to the MCU. While the acting and special effects were great, I thought the villain was somewhat lacking (not the acting though). All in all, I'd recommend it to anyone. Thanks for the giveaway.
