Director Fede Alvarez says YES! "[The ‘Evil Dead’] extended cut will come out on blu-ray. Just a few hours ago we talked about the study and it seems that Halloween will be available,” @tridon Thanks for link Ken! No matter what format, I want it!

Bummer. I still feel like this'll come to Blu-ray eventually, but they probably couldn't get it done in time for Halloween.

If for no other reason than I think it would be a missed opportunity from the studio. The movie is popular & the unrated cut has become almost an urban legend at this point, so a blu-ray would surely sell well.

I couldn't wait any longer for the bluray! I bought this last night! I love the additional 5 minutes that were added! Glad to FINALLY see the "We're gonna get you" scene! I'm a HUGE fan of the version that was released in 2013, but this is better! I highly recommend it!
