The 80's I think is where Horror grew up . LEGEND is used so much to discribe people and events . In the feild of horror who I cncider LEGEND in every sence of the word .

John Carpenter The Fog , The Thing , Prince Of Darkness .

James Cameron Terminator , Aliens .

The late great Wes Craven Nightmare On Elm Street.

Clive Barker Hellraiser

Tobe Hopper Salems Lot , Lifeforce , Poltergeist .

George A Romero Day Of The Dead , Creepshow , Monkey Shines .

Also the FX guys who pushed thire art to a new terrifing level that I dont think will ever be surpassed.

C.G.I sometimes lacks soul and is more of a visusal illusion than a gut wrenching heart gripping viseral fear .

Most of our ingraned Movie Monsters from the 80's where the brinchild of 1 genius Mr Stan Winston from The Thing , To Pumpkinhead Alien and Predator .

Bob Bottin , Bob Keen , Tom Savini , Richard Edlund and othes .

Yhea 80's Horror REAL Horror .
