G8 summit - Is it looking good for UK / EU importers?

In G8 summit it was announced that EU/UK would engage in large scale trade deals with the US that will see almost every good and services exempt from import / export taxes. Does this mean the import limits will be reviewed and relaxed? If so it will be great news to us as we need not pay our hard earned money to customs.

Yeah only caught a little bit of this yesterday. I figure after all these years of being USA's poodle - ie selling bullshlt wars to the rest of mainland euorpe and all that out-sourced covert spying we do for NSA, might of actually paid off for UK at long last.

Read something about this also couldn't understand a lot of the business/trade jargon that was used.

But apparently what ever deal they have brokered between Europe and the U.S will be a 'game changer'. Can only be good, hopefully.

"NO TRUST, NO DEAL"

says the EU commission now that it is revealed that USA is not only illegally spying on its citizens, but also on its allies, particularly Germany (apparently 15 million intercepts a day LOL)

This deal looks to be off while the EU nations await an appropriate explanation from obama & kerry
