Once again Hollywood will be trying to capitalize on an already existing AWESOME foreign horror movie with their remake of "Let the Right One In" titled "Let Me In". I remember hearing about this around the time of the original's release on Blu-ray and I was very pissed off. Why the hell can't Hollywood come up with some great ideas of their own, haha. Anyway, I was totally against seeing the new one but since seeing the main character wearing a KISS shirt in the trailer I've kinda changed my mind. Problem is I am such a huge fan of the original (I'd consider it one of my top 5 movies of all time, not just horror) that I think I will be quite biased towards "Let Me In". I guess we will have to wait and see.

I'd love to get a review from someone who watches them in the oposite order that I have. I've often wondered if my biased towards foreign films is solely because I saw them first.

reading this is like reading my own,im totally with you glen bob.made comments about this on another thread.remaking perfectly good films,same with the girl with the dragon tattoo.leave em alone & learn to read subtitles.

The original was fantastic. why do they have to go and remake a movie that is fine the way it is. I have a feeling this is not gonna be good.
 
It stars the girl that was the girl in "Kick-Ass", and I really loved her in that. This is a totally different film, but I'll give it a chance. I own the original on BD and really enjoyed it-loved the visual style and the stillness and beauty of it. Lets see what they come up with here...
 
So as a few of you are aware, I was TOTALLY against this reake when I first heard about it but the more I see the trailer, the more I want to see it. I kept asking myself "how can this be that I want to see this film so bad now?". Well I think I figured it out last night. I just realised that this new movie is a Hammer production. WTF??? When did Hammer start doing movies again and why the hell wasn't I notified???? The answer, 2008 with a film called "Beyond the Rave" but nothing since then...until now. Anyway, this may explain why there seems to be sooooo much atmosphere in the trailer and hopefully the rest of the film. Now I've got my hopes up. Hope I'm not disappointed.
 
I have seen the original movie, Let the Right One In, and had little interest in the remake but I have to admit the trailer looks pretty interesting. Plus, I would like to see Chloe Moretz in this one.... wonder how she'd fare as a vampire. So yeah, I'm watching this when it comes out in theaters. :cool:
