Song of the South. Time to replace my laserdisc.

Song of the South will not get a Blu-ray release as Disney now consider this film racist and have banned it from any future release until they change this view but I doubt that will ever happen
Disney have said no plans to release the movie on DVD, calling the film "antiquated" and "fairly offensive

They have though allowed certain parts be used in compilation videos but will not consider releasing the full version

I say the delay is due awaiting aproval on artwork of next releases and possible 1 or 2 titles that were previous vaulted titles;)

Sleeping Beauty you can expect to be one of them as this is getting a re release

Sword in the Stone most likely
Tarzan most likely
Pinocchio most likely
The Aristocrats most likely

The rest that's the fun in guessing and be nice surprise if we get something we did not expect

I didn't know that - how bad is it, please do tell?

For me I want to see Pinocchio next

I don't own the BR myself, but a majority of reviews I've read online are calling out on the DNR usage. Which is why I didn't buy it, apparently several other Disney restorations are shoddy efforts apparently. They also left all the extras off and the aspect ratio is all wrong. I would buy it and see for myself, but I don't know what difference that'll make apart from £10 out of pocket.

I'd love a steelbook of it as it's my favourite Disney film, but Disney's lacklustre transfers are putting me off investing in it!

Apparently the Pinocchio transfer is rated a lot higher than this. ;)

Possibly rethinking their entire selling strategy, prices, quality, print run etc.
There are quite a few titles still in stock which I imagine is not what they wanted.

I'd happily wait as long as needed for the best quality.

see when i see anybody's name last post i dont care much...but if i see DB is like...OMG! she is posting whats coming next....n since we been waiting a little on these titles...lol

Thanks for that heads up. DNR is the bane of our lives! Never understand disney in particular - they always make a big thing about protecting the brand name and the good values it stands for - then shoot themselves in the foot with rubbish transfers.

On the other hand, pleased to hear Pinocchio is a good one - my personal favourite; but there are so many good ones . . .
