We’re proud to present two prints from Michael De Pippo and Giulia Del Mastio that share thematic connective tissue and long pop culture legacies, Astro Boy and Pinocchio!

Michael’s bold and minimalist poster for Astro Boy lays out the foundational elements of Astro’s story, as well as Astro’s body. Approaching Astro Boy as a pseudo-Operation board game, Michael’s print strikes at the heart of the story–Astro is a robot with a heart, but also a boy with dreams. Michael’s print hits on both a visual and metaphorical level, and we admire the depth of the piece.

Speaking of boys and their dreams, Giulia’s print for Guillermo Del Toro’s stunning stop-motion adaptation of Pinocchio explores Pinocchio’s relationship with his father (and creator) and with the powerful forces that help influence his life. Giulia’s art style is wickedly cool, and we’re excited to be able to team up for a charity release. 100% of profits from Giulia’s print will go directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.

Michael’s and Giulia’s print will be available for purchase on Wednesday (11/1) @ 12PM ET on our homepage, Bottleneckgallery.com.
