Sony London is currently beavering away on a fourth numbered entry in the Syphon Filter franchise for PlayStation 3.
That’s according to a reported pulled announcement over on the U.S. PlayStation Blog, as spotted by eagle-eyed forum goers on GameTrailers and Giantbomb.
According to the post, Syphon Filter 4 looks set to “revolutionise” the stealth genre thanks to an all-new game engine and is currently pencilled in for release in Q4 2012. The game is being touted as a sequel to PSP stealth-em-up Logan’s Shadow.
From the look of things Sony isn’t yet ready to lift the lid on the project, though with E3 just around the corner we shouldn’t have to wait long.
Nonetheless, we'll file this under 'rumor' until we hear something official on the matter.
