Man of Steel is one of the most anticipated blockbusters this summer. Directed by Zack Synder and produced by Christopher Nolan, Man of Steel will reboot the Superman franchise by giving audiences a new look at the origin of this iconic superhero and his journey to become the protector of Earth and its people.

Sideshow Collectibles is excited to announce that Hot Toys' 200th collectible figure from their acclaimed Movie Masterpiece Series will be Superman, one of the most well-known superheroes of all time.

The movie-accurate collectible is specially crafted based on the image of Henry Cavill as Superman in the movie, featuring a highly detailed head sculpt, finely designed costume with embossed pattern and iconic red cape.

That better be a very early prototype they have been given. It looks terrible.

The official HT photos tend to be closer to the final figure. I haven't ordered this but I hope it will be the same as the HT photos. If not there'll be a lot of angry customers.

Where are those pictures from Marc?

It looks completely different to what's on the side show website.

I agree, I think it looks horrible. The earlier pictures are much nicer.

None, lol these figures are often better in hand than judging by the pictures. It's really that much of a gamble...

Also, these are very early prototypes so some will look fugly...Just look at this. Clearly prototypes should only give you an idea of what it will look like at the end. The final photos will appear close to release time.

The photos that Marc posted looked weird and the lighting was terrible as well. The HT prototype photos are actually much nicer. The headsculpt on those pictures is very very good.

Yeah the body they used seems huge. That's probably the one thing I would definitely change.

Also the suit seems to have a lighter blue color and the S is lower than it should be.

The body does look a bit odd however, Supes got some really jacked quads there

honestly I don't understand why people complain with the prototype photos. That's all they are prototypes. All that complaining and moaning that was online over the original photos was just stupid IMO. Bunch of grown men crying over prototype photos...

Any of you seen the in hand pics of this guy yet over on SSF? Freaking awesome!!! Head sculpt and body are nearly spot on. There are a couple of things that annoy me but I'm seriously thinking of asking for this for my BD now.
