The film was made in 1991, not with 3D in mind, so good for them if they do a 3d conversion but that shouldn't alter FilmArena's plans in any way regarding this steelbook.

If you're a 12 year-old boy and you've never seen the film, I get that you might be excited about this 3D re-release, but everyone else has no excuse.

I guess I'm 12 years old because I'm looking forward to seeing this in 3D. More than I am about an overpriced FACE release of the same old T2 we've seen countless times (and owned on steelbook).

I must be the only one who feels that 3D adds nothing to my cinema going experience? I just want my FilmArena T2 and Salvation editions so I can wrap up the series.
I second that, I'm not a fan of 3D at all, and would happily take a FAC of T2 right now ! However, as Filmarena do like to go for the best that they can do package wise, I don't blame them for holding off until the 3D is released, gives it a whole package then, and in the end will appeal to more people inc those who like 3D.
But damn, we've been waiting so long for this, another minimum of 6 months wait is going to hurt!
Why don't they release T Salvation to wet our appetites for a bit, God knows I can't be the only one who wants a full FAC set of the Terminator Series. Same with HD Zeta

"Same old T2 we've seen countless times", what? A 3D conversion to milk a cash cow makes it a new movie? :greedy:

I said 12 year old boys because it's usually that age group that feels the need to pay an extra on an already overpriced ticket to have to put on glasses and have a darkened screen for 2 hours.

I really don't think FilmArena are holding off on this because of a 3D conversion, it's been on the backburner for months, like the rumor about their Terminator Salvation steelbook. It's like their X-Men FAC series, or the Fast & Furious one, or King Kong, or Minions: FA for some reason (no approval for slipcover designs maybe) isn't working on them.

Just to be clear, did you mean FAC have confirmed they are not holding off because of 3D? Havent heard that. Or did you mean that the 3D version being released announcement today?

Either way, i think FA would be crazy not to bring this out, with or without 3D. Judging by their releases, they must have interest in this release, why do the others without completing the set, doesn't make sense, plus don't forget the WEA poll they ran. As for the others you mentioned, I do agree, I think some of these will not materialise, but Minions will definitely happen, they said in Facebook the other day that they will be finalising soon, and unbroken is another one.

King Kong, fast furious, God knows. possibly will be scrapped, but with the announcement of Xmen Apocolypse, I think that it might spur them on to get the rest done. Hopefully !

No I don't think I ever saw FilmArena say the reason they stopped working on Terminator 2 is because they were waiting for a 3D disc. They just stopped mentioning it, like King Kong or X-Men 1-6.

More likely to be FilmArena prioritizing WWA steelbooks over their very own steelbooks (like Child 44 and Unbroken, those two have been on the backburner for a while too), or not getting approval for slipbox designs.

Yeah it might be the studios also saying hey do some other ones before we approve your Wea ones as well. Also could be with this the studio told them we gonna wait to approve things tell we start announcing the 3D version. Again with the new 3D version coming out we might get some new artwork that film arena can choose from as well. Just wish it would hurry up so I can complete the set
