Not mandatory- just tacky advertising by Universal- totally ruins the slipcover
It's not just Universal unfortunately, seems to be a growing trend with lots of studios now
Picked 'Thief' up from HMV (matt finish with glossy artwork & lettering)

My ocd from steels (that i stopped collecting) moved to slips (that ive now stopped collecting and bin!)
I think because the guy who used to go in stores and take pictures of all the slips now only seems to post them on BR.

I will admit I've lost total interest in slips lately, The purple ear , watch it anywhere is so ugly.
Plus it doesn't help being totally broke because I'm on disability looking for stuff i can't afford.
