This isn't a new thing. Interstellar, Saving Private Ryan, The Raid, Eternal Sunshine, John Wick...
All these boxed sets have identical steelbooks with different slipcovers. Even if they are not a boxed set - Lenti, 1/4th, & Fullslip editions from the same seller are always identical steelbooks with different slips.
Did you just realize this?:confused::wow:

I was just meaning that for a collector the real added value of a boxset over a single edition (be this single edition the full slip, the lenti or the 1/4th) are all the extras, e.g. the three different kind of slips.

Our Kind of Traitor looks great!:) I have yet to see Night Manager. And I was lucky that I grew up with BBC productions on PBS and saw the Original TTSS back when it first aired. I was all set to be mad at the new film (even though I love Gary Oldman) because it was trying to cram the story into movie sized film. I was delightfully surprised. I think it is a fine film, and look forward to my second PA version of TTSS!!:naughty:;):D

Yes, the movie version of 'TTSS' is a perfect example of good, old fashioned ensemble acting where everything hinges upon the dialogue and the characterizations, with ne'er a car chase or explosion in sight.

I imagine that Gary Oldman must have felt some trepidation about stepping into the shoes of Alec Guiness when he agreed to take the part of Smiley, but he acquits himself very well with an understated performance that perfectly encapsulates the role.

As with you, this PA edition will be my second version of the film as I already have the UK Steelbook, which I shall be retaining.

My preference is for the Type A slip which I think is artistically superior to the others. My one reservation is the representation of Gary Oldman on the actual Steelbook which comes across more as a caricature than an actual depiction of his character.

Gotcha. But I don't think the extras here reach the level of getting a TARS figure with Interstellar!!

No one could have tried this role after Alec Guiness except Gary Oldman!! Only he has the chops.
I have the UK one as well, but I meant this will be my next PA version after the Amaray they released earlier.
(@augustus - I'm surprised you didn't catch that bit in my post saying "'movie-sized' film" - is that a paradox or a simile?!!)

You don't like this one @C.C. 95? I think it looks great! Black and white just adds to the image IMO.:) I would like the collectors kit but not sure I want to buy 3 editions of the film though.
@Sigill - It doesn't grab me with the lack of color. But, you know what? It is so hard to tell in pictures. The B&W one may very well knock my socks off in hand. Odds are I will go TriPack because I love Gary and this movie- so I will know soon enough won't I?:D

Check it out @harry, @PunkNinja, @spass, @Hatori, @luke98, @dan8885

I'm glad they are doing a 1/4 slip, I will be able to keep my PA 1/4 slip collection going. The packages look nice but I don't know how many I can go for. I didn't love the film but this is Plain!:D

Cheers Simon. :)

This is shaping up to be a great release. Too bad the PO is a few days early for me, hopefully it'll stay in stock for a while? I missed out on the 2 CC films because of little funds as well. My first missed PO since they opened up their online shop with Melancholia DVDPrime. It's pi*sing me off big time to now have a gap in my PA collection, lol! :p ;)

Dear All,

We're dropping Standard Shipping.

Korea Post recently recommended that we no longer support one of our shipping methods.

The amount of manual work that goes into processing Standard Shipping is too much and it's a method which easily goes through a lot of human mistakes over time.

We've had instances where many packages would return to our office and it's costing us a lot financially.

We'll be working diligently to provide more shipping options as they become available to us.

Thank you for your continued support and understanding.

Is that K-packet? I hope we don't have to use EMS or its a guaranteed customs hit.
