According to the report, MvC3 will receive a retail release "later this year or early 2011" and will run in "full 1080p." Allegedly, while the full character list is unknown, some have been confirmed. "Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Hulk, Magneto, Storm, and a few others will be back; but the team behind MvC3 have said they will be blowing fans out of the water with the sheer number of characters this game includes," alleges PlanetXbox360. The rumored sequel is said to be a nontraditional 2D fighter, which suggests that it could feature 3D elements, as seen in Street Fighter IV. PlanetXbox360 claims we'll hear more about the title next week and that the game will be playable at E3 this June. When reached for comment, Capcom told Joystiq, "We don't comment on speculation and rumors."

Re: Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds - Coming Spring 2011!

Wtf no Guile!!!!

I don't think that list is 100% official. I think it's a list I read a while back that some guy found in the webpages source code...

So it COULD change. IDK.
Guile better make an appearance lol

Capcom Confirms Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Leaked List Was "Inaccurate"

The whole Marvel vs. Capcom 3 roster toing and froing is starting to grow old already. It's not as if it's just fabricated roster leaks we have to deal with, it's the fact that it seems as if certain people have opted to use PhotoShop to doctor images to confuse the hell out of us.

First up, according to Capcom's "Manager of PR Strategy," Wes Phillips, "These supposed "final" MvC3 character lists are inaccurate. No one has nailed it thus far. Stay tuned for the realness."

But. But. But... Viewtiful Joe!? *wipes tear* I suppose though, playing Devil's Advocate - like I always do! - it would be his job to say that though. Smoke and mirrors and all that jazz.
What's this about PhotoShopping images you ask? Well, I've spent the last 30 mins going over in my head whether the Silver Surfer in the Marvel vs. Capcom 3 rumour is true... My take? It's not. I'm not saying he's not in the game, I'm just saying that this evidence isn't enough to persuade me - no magazine source has yet been supplied and the image is awfully close to a Deviant Art image; both combined are enough for me to cast an element of doubt over it. Thoughts as always in the comments or even evidence otherwise. We love a good detective mystery here.

In summary: the rumoured list is "inaccurate," so some/most maybe true. And secondly, don't believe anything you read on the internet about the roster unless it's accompanied by a crapload of images and/or gameplay trailers.

Regardless, if Viewtiful Joe isn't in the game, Capcom can expect a visit from us *swings comically oversized mallet*

Who wont be in marvel vs capcom 3

rying to figure out who will be in Capcom's upcoming Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is a guessing game at this point. At E3 we were able to determine that neither Loki nor the Punisher made the cut, but that still leaves thousands of possible characters to choose from. We decided it was time to narrow down the list a bit.

Considering that Capcom recently revealed Marvel's demonic lord Dormammu would be in the game, a savvy comic reader might assume that Dr. Strange would also be making an appearance in the game, especially since Strange is one of the few Marvel characters who I can actually remember having fought Dormammu. But you know what they say about assuming.

When we asked Marvel vs. Capcom 3's producer Ryota Niitsuma about this in a recent interview, he said, "It's a tricky question to answer because everyone always asks if their favorite character will be in the game, but half of the characters haven't been revealed yet, so we don't want to spoil anything. But I will say that Dr. Strange won't be in the game."

Later on we came back to the subject of characters, and we tried to trick Niitsuma into letting something else slip by asking him if Marvel had rejected any of Capcom's character suggestions. Niitsuma wouldn't say anything, but he put his finger to his lips, and then made a visor motion across his eyes before drawing an X across his chest. We don't speak sign language, be we assume that Niitsuma was telling us to look closely into our hearts for the answer.

We just crossed a few names off our giant list of thousands of possible characters. We're going to narrow the field down eventually. Capcom can't keep this a secret for long.

New trailer, absolutely awesome.

X-23 Joins Tron Bonne in Marvel vs. Capcom 3

Another new character has been confirmed for Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds and it's Wolverine's female Weapon X clone, X-23.

Capcom has gone above and beyond once again for TGS 2010, releasing no less than four trailers to coincide with the confirmation of both Tron Bonne and X-23 for MvC3. The first shows both X-23 and Tron Bonne getting stuck into a good old scrap, while the next two gives each character a gameplay trailer of their own in which to show off their outrageous moves and finishers.

Finally, there's another video recapping a handful of the game's characters revealed so far, with a reminder that there are indeed more characters to come.

Marvel vs. Capcom 3 Gets Two More Characters

It seems as if two character announcements for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 wasn't enough for Capcom at this year's Tokyo Games Show, as they announced two more characters this weekend.

Joining the recently announced Tron Bonne and X-23, Capcom decided to show off two new characters at TGS: Spider-Man and Resident Evil villain, Albert Wesker.

According to Gamespot, Spider-Man retains a lot of his moves from Marvel vs. Capcom 2, with a few new added web manoeuvres to get behind his opponent and a newly upgraded super Spidey super.

Wesker on the other hand - sporting the classic dark trench coat and dark shades look - has the ability to teleport quickly to get the jump on his opponent. Capcom showed off three Wesker supers at the show, which ranged from a counter move against Captain America's super, all the way to a multi-hit combo culminating in dropping a missile on his opponent. No, that's not an innuendo.

Spider-Man... Wesker... X-23... Tron Bonne... A good few days for character unveils, right?
