Visage takes place in the 1980s in a secluded town and in old, gigantic house where unfathomable horror hides behind the banalities of a normal, but ever-changing house. In it, you play as Dwayne, a “mysterious man haunted by malign entities of the past.”
Venturing into a surreal world, you will learn stories about this horrific place, like how a dozen families have lived here throughout history, some living peaceful lives, other brutally killed. Further, you will learn how you’re connected to it. Your goal? To uncover what is behind it all..but something in the house will try its best to make sure you don’t.
The game’s gameplay is essentially an adventure game, as you will wander through corridors, search rooms, and look for items that will progress the story. According to the developer, the game draws inspiration from games like Phantasmagoria, P.T., Amenesia, and the Silent Hills series.
In the game you will need to manage your stress levels, and explore with no weapons at your disposal. According to the developer, the game will be roughly 6-8 hours long.
Visage is set to arrive on PS4, Xbox One, and PC sometime in 2017 at an unannounced price-point. As mentioned above, the game is also coming to VR platforms, including the PlayStation VR, HTC Vice, and Oculus Rift.
