Based on the choices, since I have them all, I would have to say I like the feel and look for the Thor 1st edition so I'm going with spot gloss

In some very rare occasions though, a matte finish might be preferable. It depends on the artwork. But most of the time you can't go wrong with a gloss or spot gloss finish.
