I just saw the empty box set go for that high. I might as well sell mine LOL and mine doesn't even have the number underneath which in turn would accommodate any number for the individual releases.

Yeah, I was following a bid on the single lenti which got away for $112. Some people are seriously crazy that they're willing to spend this kind of money on a steelbook

Prices for the Blu Collection Eternal Sunshine, Plain Archives Melancholia for example are astronomical in relative terms although I was fortunate to pick both up in mint condition in auctions for again relative peanuts. I suppose if one is lucky enough one might stumble across these in an auction where for whatever reason the bids do not go through the roof. I myself eventually shelled out a fair amount for this on Ebay.

Prices always go down, it might just take years, in which case nobody will care about having it by then as technology moves forward again.

DVD steelbooks are no longer in favor as they are a different form factor. G2 size is the last size steelbook we will see for optical disc media. Wake me up when the G2 size gets replaced.
